I’ve had a look around, didn’t find anything. Maybe give the SSUK organizers a mail, maybe a marshal picked it up when cleanup started.

    Ooooh nasty!
Hope he comes through okay, thankfully it wasn’t under the front wheels.

No doubt it’ll teach him an important lesson, and hopefully he won’t be too scared to get back on the bike.

I quite like that paint job.

More like the OP is being a bit of a ponce 😆

I’ve been running an NC17 ISIS on my hardtail and I’ve had excellent performance out of it. No creaks or grinding and the bearings are still working well after a good years riding through everything our weather has to throw at us.

I’ve always been shocked at just how effective baby wipes are – always keep them in the car, garage, etc.

I’ll second the baby wipe option.
Brilliant at cleaning hands – if they can get clagged on baby poop off skin, then they’ll shift anything!

Really nice build for the price.
Let us know how you find the forks, I have a pair on my Faith and they’re an excellent fork for the price they are.
I can see a lot of fun being had, just remember to disengage the common snese filter when riding 😆

oh before I forget, make sure the forks serial number doesn’t fall under the recall that happened a while ago.

Quick update from Pickering – 6:20am and it’s drizzling and a bit chilly.

Hmmm wonder if Northeast News need a weatherman, I must be doing a better job than that old fool Bob Johnson 😆

Move up as in an easier gear?
If yes, it’s not rapid rise – I use the trigger (finger) shifter on my setup to move up the cassette. XT shifters and rapid rise mech here.

Last non anime film I watched was The Transporter.

Write a letter of appreciation to the Para’s that attended – I am sure they would really welcome your positive feedback and it’s such a nice gesture.

It will be in the post on Monday morning! 😀

Everything seems to be back to normal, I’ve just got in from work and he’s back to his normal self shouting at Mickey Mouse on the Kiddies channel 😆

Wonder what the next frightening episode is going to be…. 😆

yeah, it happened after his temp soared to 39deg.
Last night wasn’t much fun, both of us were constantly waking up and checking him, as he was still having a high temperature every so often.
Yes, they are common, and fingers crossed we’ll not have another episode, but at least now we do have the manual!
They’re common enough that the childrens ward have a little booklet with checklist and pointers to follow if there should be a repeat attack.

Rollmop Herrings in Vinegar. We sell them at work in our fish department and the smell is enough to make me vomit.

@ Swiftacular – My first thoughts was Gundam, but the mech design isn’y blocky enough for that. Sooooo……. I’m going for Tekkaman. But wasn’t it called something different over here?

    Anyhoo, here’s my favourite

losing 3 rebound adjusters without realising you don’t need it in the leg at all is just shoolboy in its error

Not really – First one lost on the first ever ride with the forks, second one lost somewhere on the Fort William downhill after tweaking my rebound, and the third is hiding from me somewhere in the house – I’ve never actually had it anywhere near the bike and it’s gone walkabout!

Another 1 for the Domains – I’ve got them on my Giant Faith and are a super fork for the price bracket. Totems are brilliant too, but I couldn’t justify the extra price for them. As Mr Whiles says, they’re totally bombproof and will get you through most of the hard stuff no problem. Downside? That bloody little anodized red rebound adjuster on the right leg. I’ve lost 3 of them to press and I aren’t forking out for another one!

The only book based on helicopters in a military setting has to be Chickenhawk by Robert Mason.
From initial training right through his time in Vietnam to his departure from the US Army, it’s compelling reading and an aye opener in places.
Definitely my choice of a must read.

The time I ended up doing a reverse superman after getting rear ended by a blonde bimbo in a car doing 40mph in a 30 zone. That **** hurt when I hit concrete. It was a couple of days after those cyclists got killed by that car out of control on ice or something. That was all I could think of at the time. And yes, time does slow down – or at least it did for me!

A relaxed trailbuilding morning in Dalby – well, more of a trimming back and final scouting of the course for SSUK. Plus a ride on cheeky trails and some of the official stuff to fill the rest of the day in!

That should be okay to ride with. A while back I got rear ended by a dizzy blonde driver and her front bumper proceeded to dent both seatstays slightly worse than the photo above. Suffice to say, that frame is stil going strong, and it’s had a lot more abuse as the bike in question is a Giant Faith. Only thing to look out for would be misalignment adding different stresses in the rear, but I don’t think you’ll see much difference. If in doubt though, don’t ride it!

I’ve just had a ballache getting some wire bead tyres off some rims, so if you plan on changing tubes regularly, or for that matter rims, I’d go for folding. Folding are so much better, you can use your fingers to get them on and off so you don’t damage rims or tubes and it’s so much quicker too.
Guess what tyres I replaced the wired ones with… yep, folding!
