I wouldn't ever dream of using a bike trailer where I live – I value my sons life way too much to put trust in the lunatics on the road in our town. Even more so after being rear ended by someone whilst riding home. 👿

Just use your existing front mech if need be. Use the adjustment screws to lock it in place and voila, instant cheapo chain device. And if you find you want a granny ring, its easy to sort out without too much faffing. 🙂

I'll stick with my MsIsle frame thanks. It's a asteful goldy/silver colour with Union Jack style graphics 😀
Not a fan of garish and mega bright/bold colours to be honest.

I'm waiting for the Dawn Of War 2 Chaos expansion. Aren't really fussed about anything else, unless they release a Fallout3 DLC megapack…

I have a rather large collection of Vampirella comics and merchandise, and I have an equally large J M Linsner art collection.
I've been looking to offload the Vampi stuff for ages, but I haven't found anyone willing to give anything close to it's last valuation.

I also have a modest collection of Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines in Lamenters livery, something which I started at school and seemed to carry on. Only downside is that Games Workshop are extortionists to say the least, so there isn't much expansiongoing on of late, although I do have a few Marines left to paint over this winter.

Nice vid, I liked it a lot, and it was nice to see a different aspsct on some of the stuff I've built and ridden 🙂

Count me in for some filming, we've done a few shoots ourselves in the past and there's some really good bits for footage if you know where to look 🙂

Rock and Metal in most of its guises for me.
Fave band of the moment is Within Temptation.

    +1 for Omega Drivers.
Easy to install and a breeze to tweak to your liking.

Not a clue Ewan. Possibly a combination of pressure and cleaning methods.
I didn't know Milton sterilizing fluid was capable of doing stuff like that! 😆

Ewan, I know, the 2nd was the replacement.
Having that one split after 5 or so rides made my mind up to look for something different.

The hydrapak I have is a fantastic piece of kit.
The bladders nice and tough and you can turn it inside out for cleaning. The drinks tube is also connected via a spring clip and valve so you can remove it foreasy cleaning.

On a side note, I found Camelbak bladders to be quite poor.
Difficult to clean and I had 2 that split in pretty much the same place on the seam. I personally wouldn't buy a camelbak again.

I had one of the best rides of the year last night in Dalby… the trails were very dry, fast and clean and it was nice not to have sweat running into my eyes !!
and not that speed matters too much to me but i beat my best lap time by 10 mins without even trying.
All that and i felt a little sleepy before i started the 23 mile loop.
    Fantastic conditions

Same for me in Dalby on Tuesday, fantastic conditions and the leaves are just starting to turn as well.
I love this time of year for riding, and the trails aren't as busy too! 😀

I like the burlesque style, in my eyes, most women look fantastic when dressing burlesque.
And yes I was glued to Germany's Eurovision entry this year! 😆

you change the stem height during a ride? why?

I don't change during the ride. I do it before I go riding. If I'm playing about on a downhill on the big travel bike, I may change it between runs to get a better response from the bike, but longer rides are set and forget.

A good instructor goes a long way to calming nerves. Don't be afraid to tell them you're very nervous and uncomfortable and they should tailor the first few lessons to helping you overcome those nerves. I was very pannicky when I started and it took me a couple of instructors before I found the right one that was able to help me sort my nerves out and guide me at a pace I was comfortabe with. 11 lessons later and 1 test was all I needed due to his teaching methods. I signed up straight away with him for my advanced and I would definately recommend him to friends or family learning to drive.

I run 2 under and 1 over the stem. It gives me a little room to mess about with the ride height depending on the terrain I'll be riding on the day.

My prize arrived today – the Morro backpack and assorted goodies. 😛

There's some lovely stuff in there, now I just have to decide which bike the bling Yumeya chain is going to grace.

    Thanks a lot STW! 😀

I know they're not mothballed, but I used to love watching these playing about in the skies above our house when they were based at Mildenhall.
They really need to come back to the UK for another tour 🙂

i have a knife I use at work for splitting pallet tape and trimming up various things. I was using it to cut some wrap on a pallet outside the shop one day, and one of those community support oficers decided they would waste my time by telling me where I could and could not use it. My boss saw us and politely told them to cock off and come back when I stab someone!

use spd on the hardtail and flats on my 8" big drop/downhill bike. It just feels comfortable that way, and I like the fact that I have more control of the hardtail when I'm clipped in instead of losing my feet every time I hit the really rough stuff.
Climbing with flats isn't really an issue with me, I just sit and spin the lowest gear I have and when I run out of steam I get off and push. Techical climbs with 8" of travel are a no no at any time 😆

It's only a backup pc – Once the main parts start to die I'll replace it with my main and buy a new pc, so buying a new motherboard and swapping all parts out is not an option in my eyes.
Looks like I'll stick with another HD 3850 as they're only £70 then.

    Cheers.

The map's not totally accurate in any way.
Where I live, there's been more than the 2 accidents they have marked on the map. 🙄

Alternatively, you could park up in Thornton Dale and ride in through Ellerburn on the flat to the visitors centre and ride the whole red from start to finish with a nice relaxing ease down ride back to Thornton Dale.

I back up the view of riding the moors as well as Dalby, there's plenty of fun riding to be had out there!

strange that it's just Spotify giving me problems. Every other streaming program (LastFM, LastSharp and a few radio stations) are working fine.

Looks like a reinstall may be in order.

Oh and for some strange reason, I'm getting addicted to Femme Metal bands tonight 😯

NPower tried to up our bill to £160 a month from £87.
I told them where to go and switched to EDF at an initial £68 a month.
EDF recalculated last month and our monthl fee dropped to £43.

I'd shop around if I were you – NPower seem to be keen on this kind of tactic.
