I’ve given up asking rhetorical questions. What’s the point?

I’m off on holiday next week which is causing me some concern because every time I go through customs I have to have a drink.

    I’m borderline alcoholic.

I hope that one day we can rid the world of plagiarism.

You may say I’m a dreamer but I’m not the only one.

never been there or wanted to go there or been offered a job there but it depends what is important to you.

If it’s loads of cash (compared to say whatever one is currently paid) then i could see the attraction.

I don’t know but I just received an email from a wealthy Nigerian Prince.

He told me that he doesn’t have any fortune to share with me at the moment but he would appreciate if I could let him know before May 25th if I wish to continue receiving emails.

no one seems to have mentioned feeding. IME 90% of fish die from overfeeding as this pollutes the water.

Don’t feed them anything for a week. This will give the tank, the water, the filter and the fish time to recover to a more normal level.

100% of newbies to fishkeeping overfeed their fish.

Sounds like a good idea.  Implementation would be key but will never get the backing of the relatively wealthy who have done nothing other than to be born 50+ years ago.

I am indeed one of those people too but I haven’t got to the bitter and selfish stage yet and hope I never do….</span>

Social media eh? I’m not sure if I understand this trend of celebrities trying to “break” the internet with high volumes of traffic.

Last week it was Kim Kardashian who Tweeted a number of selfies.  She didn’t break it but apparently she did leave a large visible crack.

Following on from the Indian restaurant I decided to become a fruitarian; I can eat anything that “falls from a tree”.

So far today I’ve eaten three cooking apples and an owl.

I went to a new Indian restaurant in Cheam village last night called Karma.

A friend of mine has two tickets in a corporate box for the Champions League final on 26th May. He paid £300 each, but he didn’t realise when he bought them months ago that it was going to be the same day as his wedding. If you are interested, he is looking for someone to take his place.

It’s at Marylebone Registry Office, at 4.30pm. The bride’s name is Nicole — she’s 5’4″, about 8 stone, quite pretty, has her own income and is a really good cook.

For Binners; I read in the news that Greggs are employing bouncers.  I guess they want to keep out the unsavoury!

My Scottish friend Hamish is getting married in the summer.  He told me that he is going to wear a kilt so I asked “what’s the tartan?”

He replied “she’ll probably be in white”.

Two golden oldies and a modern one from me.

I remember hearing this as a teen and feeling amazed at how brutal it was in terms of the lyrics and style

    Another one from the Meninblack

And continuing the Stranglers theme the modern one from one half of Moldy Peaches </span>

There’s some more context here: Tempe police chief says early probe shows no fault by Uber:. Seems like she stepped out in front of the car.

Edit: to remove random garbage put in by the forum software.

Please, don’t let whoever coded this forum anywhere near the team developing the driverless car software

Not weighed it but it’s a Specialized Allez Comp 105 gruppo circa 2007 model.

Original lightweight Mavic wheelset bit the dust many years ago and were replaced with a cheap set of Shimano R501’s, circa £60 for a pair from Ribble so I’m guessing 9 or 10kg’s

Working in a large organisation with a central directory is an endless source of amusement.

My current favourite is Wing Man, great on a night out apparently.

I’ve also worked with a Theresa Green.

Good idea, I’ve been cycle-commuting since 2003 and it’s a great way to train. There really is no substitute for just getting those miles in.

I have a turbo trainer but haven’t used it for ooh mebbe three or is it four years, it just bores me to tears.Similar with general gym use.

How else would i get the chance to spend three hours a day on my bike without taking a single second out my home life; i need to commute into London for work so would just be sitting on the train/tube during that time anyway.

How do I use it to actually ‘train’ well, a combination of putting in some extra miles some days or just doing a recovery ride other days or as someone up there points out traffic light interval training is also good. I have over 120 sets of lights on my route so this is an oft-used tactic.

Other ways of encouragement could also be to join the ‘No Zwift’ Group on Strava! EDIT: or someone set up a new STW commuter group and people can join if that floats your boat.

I’ve thought a couple of times about whether I should share this or not but here goes, edited highlights of my commute from Surrey into Canary Wharf and back.

    Enjoy

The only reason i would be unhappy about being sent home would be if it meant i wasn’t being paid. A salaried job means this is unlikely.

So no, I managed to make it into London today from surrey suburbia and will no doubt make it home again this evening about 15 minutes later than usual.

mate, GoPro Session 4, end of.

£150 max, one touch start/stop record. Easy.

Multiple mounting methods (nice bit of alliteration there too).

    Beats all the competition.

    I have a rear mounted Fly6 too, it’s crap.

If you pay anyone by cheque (remember them?) the cheque has your account number and sort code written on it.

And a copy of your signature as well, don’t forget that.

What do Gumtree recommend as acceptable/safe forms of payment? Stick with those and don’t venture beyond.

    How about these
