summer gloves. I distinctly remember thinking last November when it snowed “won’t need these again for a while” and put them away somewhere safe.

    Can i find them?

After all i heard about TA, i’ve booked a week with them on 27aug-03sept. Going on my own, so it’ll be interesting on who i meet!

    You will love it.

Been with TA many times; great guys. Last year, in addition to my group there were:

    3 Spanish guys
3 guys from Hong Kong (two originally from Essex, one from Mexico)
    3 Belgians
    1 Canadian
    1 Australian

Most of them just randomly found TA by googling ‘singletrack Alps’.

All had a great time (except for the Spanish dude who bust his collarbone on the first morning…)

    Elfinsafety,

I’m trying to work out if that is a double entendre or not

Do you still ride that route and if so what bike are you on?

was commuting about a month ago and saw Tony Robinson pushing a sword through a victim’s chest on Cable Street, East London. Shouted out ‘orrigght Toneee’ and he nodded sheepishly.

Monday night on the commute again and I saw Hardeep Singh being filmed in Narrow Street, again in East London. Couldn’t remember his name so I didn’t say anything…

another blast from the past for those of you who remember ‘Rat boy’, misjudging the depth of a puddle and getting fully submerged after going head OTB

an old one at Bedgebury. Look to the left of the bridge

Helping Sue out of the stream

It was November, the water was cold and she was fully submerged hence the look of shock on her face (but Gary on the right seemed to find it funny)

Titanium frame cracked across the seatpost/top tube weld

sorry bout the colour, its the only way the crack shows in the pic; see!

Specialized SX trail cracked going off the large ladder multiple times at Chicksands, luckily held together whilst I was riding, only noticed it the next day at home

Lastly this one’s not mine but an expensive mechanical to one of the group in Les Arcs July 2010. Double discs not secured correctly to the frame, apply brakes, brake retaining bolt cracks and wrenches apart the rear triangle of a brand new Nicolai

Dango, what are you goin to use the Thule clamp to try and make? (serious question).

Re GoPro HD, they are great. Excellent picture quality but what really distinguishes them is the number of different ways you can mount them on yourself or your bike and have a stable platform to record from instead of some dodgy bracket that wobbles like a jelly and ruins any footage.

Missing from the HD HERO 960 that you get on the full 1080 are

    * 720p @ 60fps (I’ve only used this once)
    * 1080p video (all my videos are shot using 960 @30fps)
    * the HERO BUS expansion port. As mentioned above, the LCD screen doesnt even exist at the moment so no loss there.

Plenty of videos that I have shot and edited if you click on my name above.

rode Leith Hill on Sunday and it was great. Powdery snow everywhere and as winterfold says, much better than the slushy remnants previously seen.

i did my first ever last week and it took about two and a half hours!

Mind you that was just a new rim that i bought and so i had it next to the old rim and was undoing one spoke on one rim and then doing it up on the other one.

Plus swapping out about 7 spokes that had seen better days.

But i don’t charge by the hour so jobs a good’un. Plus saved 45 grams on weight on the new rim :D

i prefer the helmet mount, off the side rather than on top.

I have the chest strap too but dont feel this gives such a good shot. Have to mount it upside to get anything.

With a camelback the hose is always knocking on the side/moving in front of the lens plus i carry a still camera on the camelbak chest strap which again inteferes with the field of vision.

But the go pro is great, lots off different places to mount the camera. Have a look at some of the videos in my profile

CAB is best bet but you (he) MUST keep talking to all the creditors or they will take action. Ask them to suspend interest so that the debt doesnt grow any larger and try and set up a repayment program. No matter how small it shows a willingness to pay and makes it harder to take court action for recovery.

What did he buy with aforementioned credit? Sell it?

thanks Sonor, yes as it’s not a club we don’t have posted rides as such we will just suggest a ride/meeting place a few days before the weekend. But they are pretty much every weekend at 9-30 a.m. on a Sunday.

Location depends on wherever we fancy riding.

Hi Gary and congratulations; your move has bought you within spitting distance of the best riding in the country (allegedly)

Thanks to the props from t-i-m above (do i know you?). We haven’t lost a rider out on the trail yet 8O

domtb aren’t a club, just a group of like minded individuals who enjoy getting out to ride. Check out the site for this week’s ride report plus a selection of videos (below the picture viewer) which gives you an idea of the kind of stuff we enjoy riding.

You are welcome to come along for a ride if you want. Just bring a helmet and a functioning bike and have a read of the disclaimer :o
