I’m always impressed with the number of people who think running a country is easy, and they could do it so much better

In my experience they are usually driving a taxi….

Change it to e-Bike Ride and all segments disappear

That’s because the segments were created for bikes, not e-bikes. you need to create your own for e-bikes.

you mean the monthly payment is 40% of your net monthly salary?

If so then yes, in 1989 I took out a mortgage where the monthly payment was more than 100% of my salary. fortunately my wife had a job paying the same as me, well until my eldest turned up in 1991 and the second in 1993.

That was a tough ten years but it does improve.

If you want to get a property you have to be committed. you are playing the long game.

I’ve no experience of this, in fact I had never heard of a battery eliminator.

But looking at the link it says to only use without the battery in. Have you removed the battery?

great race really enjoyed it. Two bits of news that I spotted on Twitter – one good one not so:

    Sagan hurdles Spartacus video

another rider taken out by a motorbike video

yeah, it does sound like you just rear-ended him although he was driving like a d*ck. A proper left hook is as described up there.

But don’t beat yourself up about it, you weren’t hurt and you both learned a lesson today.

    wot they said, contactless.

If you don’t have a contactless card you could use ApplePay instead to make your phone your contactless card although it’s a bit more of a faff at barriers and you will have people huffing and tutting behind you.

Do mine regularly. 4 to 6 weeks to heal fully but you can ride before then, just take it easy.

No one has mentioned “freewheeling'” yet have a spin of that.

Another great album that I love (ahem, it’s ‘The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan’ Ashley). A lot of people think Bob is really boring and dull but he has so much humour in so many of his songs.

And Freewheelin’ goes the whole range from super serious (Blowin’ in the Wind/Masters of War) to funny like ‘I Shall be Free’ which I love but can’t find the studio version on youtube and ‘Talkin’ World War III Blues’ which is pretty funny for a song about the nuclear holocaust 8)

    Bringing It All Back Home.

    Just buy it.

    Wot he said.

And add to that Highway 61 Revisited and Blonde on Blonde.

    The finest trilogy of creation.

    Nuff said.

Take them to the pump room museum, make them drink the water

This is part of what my suggestion was going to be.

That takes up ten minutes of your time. spend the next five hours fifty minutes on the crapper. that stuff is minging

yup, going back there again this year but the week before you.

Don’t stick to Morzine tho, the lift pass and the trails allow you to get over to Chatel for some great fun there too.

The Swiss national is great fun too although Champery was off my personal skill level.

    +1 on mental strength.

No idea how long these climbs mentioned above are but when I am tackling something like the Col du Madeleine you know that it’s 25km and it’s going to take something like two hours to climb and you just have to accept that.

Keep thinking positive thoughts and that you are going to get up it and you will.

As soon as you let negative thoughts creep in then all strength drains from your legs and you are off.

    I’m 6’2″ and 82kg’s and I’m definitely not a natural climber.

I’ve not ridden those climbs but I’ve ridden plenty of alpine climbs plus a few of the Pyrenees.

50/34 up front and 30 out back really should be enough.

The only way to get better at climbing is to err.. climb more.

Got lucky down the pub the other night etc.

Must be the week for it; me too.

She was in her mid-fifties but was really well presented and she took me back to her place.

After a bit of fumbling about she asked me if I fancied some mother/daughter action.

Rock on I thought, let’s give this a go and so I said yes.

She got up, went to the foot of the stairs and shouted ‘MOTHER!”
