Thanks for the advice the rudeboy, I’ll give that one ago. Is there a conspiracy edition?

“Britain did, it could be argued, need it’s own 9-11. And it got one.”

Frustratting isn’t when people don’t agree with you.

Thanks for the reply and your perfect example of how to dance on the head of a pin.

“Britain did, it could be argued, need it’s own 9-11. And it got one.”

Could still do with you saying how sorry you are for pushing such a view.

How about My Time, it’s a sort of greatest hits thing but it is old. There could be an updated GH album now. I found some of his early stuff good especially when he worked with Steve Miller. Am giving the age away now though.

Rudeboy “Britain did, it could be argued, need it’s own 9-11. And it got one.”

Is this the same rudeboy posting on here that thinks London should be bombed get back to the other thread and defend yourself for the above.

Odd, seeing as I don’t think I’ve met any of my ‘adversaries’ from this thread….

The thing is rudeboy, we are not your adversaries we people who find your point of view at time incorrect (and troubling), your attempt to prove yourself right all the time undermines any credability you may have, it also makes you look immature. Comments you have made on this thread have been disgusting eg “Britain did, it could be argued, need it’s own 9-11. And it got one.”

Do it clockwise is best, though it is fun either way but better when you are new to it. Plenty of food and water can be a good idea as there are a few gaps depending were you start from. It’s a good day out though not on the list of best in the uk it’s still a must do. Have fun.

“Britain did, it could be argued, need it’s own 9-11. And it got one.”

Can’t believe you let Rudeidiotboy write the above and not pull him up on it. He would say it’s not him that would argued it but then go on to do just that. He’s an apologist to murder and a hipocrite.

Not one mention of that poor lass, treated in sutch a shameful way. Shame on you Rudeboy!

thisisnotaspoon – I do feel for you, most of work can be pretty boring but it does get better once they let you get you paws into a major project. When you have signed of your first job and it’s all going wrong in the Yemen (or similar) and it’s your design work so you have to go and help put it right, printing will seem pretty good work. Have a look at some of the old guys round your office. You know the who they are “been there seen it dome it all”, there not sixty there only forty five. Sitting round a table 200 miles west of East Jesus while 20 engineers form the customer wait for you to explain why it ain’t working, ages you. Good luck to you for being an engineer.

Rudeboy reread your post and think of a “yokel” as an ethinic minority. It comes across a bit thoughless.

Remember the countryside was we call it is a place of work for a lot of people. A good portion of them are pretty poor with less facilities than most inner cities. Only older people are now trapped in the same village mostly because villages and small towns no longer have the services expected in cities (doctors, shops, school etc). Without a car in these places you are stuffed. The rural poor are one of the biggest ignored minorities in the uk.

Living (& working) on the edge of both worlds I find the rural people are the same as those in the cities. Open minded and interested in others as long as they feel respect in return. Yokel of Odmorden would tie your goolies to a tup and show it ewe half mile away.

    I blame Fatcha! 1st again.

Normally it’s all about pleasures of the body with tories sleeze and money grabing and corruption with Labour. Now it would seem that they are all the same. Did the husband watch the film in the second home she claims 24k a year for or her main residence, her sisters house in London. onk onk snouts in the trough.

Stoner stick at it your doing a great job. Can’t stop must get back to subsidising the welfare state. They know it has to be payed for and Culpability Brown (love it) has spent all the our tax money. Makes me laugh the defence of the PM they voted for him and now he’s shit on us all. At least Tony would have lied with a smile.

I give flying whatsit who I vote for. Have voted blue, have voted red (sorry about that at the moment), have voted green. All after a while have been some what of a disapointment as they go stale and it’s time for the others to have a go. Thats whats good about democracy I get to make my choice.

I blame thatcha, got it in first! Sorry could not resist.

JulianA, Ok making everyone vote is a good idea I can see that there would be a number of positives. The biggest being a large block of “none of the above” could hopefully not be ignored. However there are very reasonable objections regarding compuction from others. The best way to increase the vote is going to be difficult but politicians with a bit of honesty and fire would be a start, some one who actually enthuses people. Mind you I supose that when the middle ground wins elections we deserve the politiciands we have.

Think about this. No monarchy, alternative being an appointed president like many european countries. So who would it be? Mrs Thatcher, Mr Blair, another politician? I like the Queen pretty harmless, and she at least brings some dosh unlike a president who would just be another snout in the trough. Personally given the performance of the bunch of lying cheats at Westminster I’d experiment with a Charles as boss, ment in humour but with a grain of truth.

I predict a minimum of 500 posts on this thread.

Ransos-the interest around the speech for those that have been able to see it is around the fact that Brown has been told the truth and lots of us love it. The delay in reporting is not just in the tax dodging guardian but also the torygraph. The bbc to scared to show it in case. If it was shown live across all channels tonight I reckon the mood of the nation would lift just like when england won the world cup.

Rudeboy – well done back on topic by blaming Thatcher. Brown only had eleven years to make the changes, well at least he’ll have the IMF back here like the 70’s. I blame Dennis eyebrows & that “crisis what crisis” Callaghan chappy. No I’ve changed me mind it was that Wilson (he knew when to get out), no it was Heath. No it weren’t me that spent all the dosh. Now come on we all really know it was Pitt the Younger.
Face it it was a great speech and I bet brown squirmed like a bloke outside the public bogs needing a sh.t with only a bent penny (borrowed). I wish I’d been given the chance but can see he did not waste like I’d have done.

The case for the use of eye protection has not yet been scientifically made. None of the anicdotal stories are relivant, there has been no survey from an A&E dept saying we should ware glasses. I am not in favor of compulsory shades.

However I do think Oakleys make me look cool so:

Jakester is right with the “Directive 99/44/EC on the sale of consumer goods”. This applies to almost everything that we buy, under EU law there is no longer a 12 month warranty on anything it’s 24 months. Retailers and manufacturers tend to keep this a little quiet. Oh flipingheck I’m a manufacturer.

interesting debate this. The fight against the apparent common sense perception (to wear a lid is best) could be more to do with not wanting to be told what to do or being an seen as an individual. I hate being told what to do and would probably rebel against any law forcing me cover my noggin with a bit of way over priced plastic and polystyrene.

However as I’m a coward and don’t like pain:

    1, 4
    2, lots
3, not sure but can see it could have happened
4, 0.1% when doing a post fettle test. this being one of the times I could hurt myself due to mind set of low risk. Bit like tow path rides (oops).

Loved my Dyane, horrible faded red colour but a fantastic car. Had it for a few years until the floor gave way (put my foot through it), then discovered that it was being held to gether faith and a bit of rubber matting. The horror of trying to get the thing up Milnrow hill on the M62 againts the wind, could of pushed it quicker. Was gutted when it went, all those climbing trips to the Lakes living at the back of the car for days at a time. I was skint and it cost me almost nothing. Oh happy days. Who sells restored versions then?
