Utter crap. They’ve cancelled the direct debit for my son’s SIM card 3 times and then try to bill me for late payment. They’ve sent out SIM cards that don’t work and some that are the wrong size.

Their policy of notification of charging when you go over your data limit is not
suitable for kids and you can’t stop data when you reach your pre-paid limit.

I’ve spent far too long on the phone and live chats to them. When my son’s contract is up I’ll be moving him to someone who will stop data when the limit is reached, even if that means having a box attached to my internet connection.

EDIT: If I hear the line, “I will solve your problem today Sir” again, I will scream down the phone at them

    Kevin,
I bought it second hand, had it re-bushed to go on the Enduro, then found it didn’t fit. It’s not been tuned as far as I know. It’s Kashima coated and in good condition as far as I can see.

I’ll drop you some photo’s to your email

I’ve got a Fox Float CTD that I was about to put on classifieds if you’re interested ? It was to go on my 2004 Enduro, but physically it doesn’t fit in the frame.

Someone overtook me and another car on a staggered crossroads the other day. Pretty sure he was speeding, he then narrowly avoided a head-on before ripping round the corner.

I’d count that as 1 confirmed offence and 1 possible

Shame he was going too fast for the corner and binned it. He walked away from it, but was very lucky. Not sure we’d all have been so lucky had someone come out of the crossroads. Tosser.

If you don’t try, you’ll never know.

As above. What’s the worst that can happen ? You have to walk some of it ?

Mental toughness plays a large part in the equation.

I’ve got/had a set of LB CX rims. The front failed inside the warranty period and was replaced. The rear failed yesterday. I will send them some pictures, but as it’s outside the warranty period I’m not expecting anything

I won’t be replacing the rear with Chinese carbon

Surely, they should be charging you to scan it and put it online. Then they can destroy the original physical document and not have to pay to store it ?

Murphy, how did you do the upgrade? What version are you on now?

I’ve got Pilkington double glazing filled with some special gas on my south-facing conservatory and have a mild sun reflective tint on it. It stops it getting *too* hot in Summer, but it is still too warm in there on a really sunny day.

It’s built to building regs, so has insulated floor and walls (it’s between the house and garage). It’s “cold” in the winter, but not unbearable. 5 minutes warm-up on the turbo and I’m normally OK

Edit : Technically I thought you were meant to have an external spec door between the dwelling and conservatory?

Left my bunch of keys in the hotel in Amsterdam.Only realised when I got to my car at Birmingham airport.

AA called me a locksmith who opened it up to retrieve the spare key that I had inside. Only cost £80, but that was 12 years ago.

Now, I put the key on the loop on my laptop bag when I lock the car

    I’ve got one of these

    http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/products/16292-billion-bipac-7800dx/

Very good for negotiating long lines and it’s FTTC ready (not that they’ll ever be fibre enabling my cabinet any time soon)

Had the same problem a few months ago. I’d shortened the outer part that runs under the BBC as I thought it looked too long.

My garmin 500 won’t recognise my speed sensor that’s strapped around my hub. I *think* you need the older 3 part speed and Cadence sensor

The one thing about my CNOC is that it has a back pedal rear brake. Has mudguards (never used as they didn’t fit under the off road tyres), stabilisers and an XT front brake.

EMail in profile if you’re still interested.

Been doing it for over 2 years now. Dropped from 15.5st to just under 13st.

I save my calories for the evening and just have a stir fry.

I had hit a plateau but I think I’d been larging it a bit too much on the 5 days. I used to avoid exercise on fast days, but have recently changed that and it’s helped. I do see it as a long term thing

and the front brake cable/hose sorting and the sofa sized saddle replacing

It’s an old picture. Hose is already sorted. Saddle will be sorted when I can get to a shop to get one measured. Need to find a shop near Cheltenham that does a try before you buy or swap type deal.

I bought a set of CX wheels. The front one developed a bulge after less than 20 miles. They want to send me a replacement rim only and leave me with the cost of having the wheel rebuilt. Not very happy at that

I did the same 18 years ago.

Loved the BTEC in computing. Didn’t really get on with the A-Levels (can’t even remember what they were in)

It didn’t hamper me getting into polytechnic, but I did apply very, very late and ended up with offers from 3 places with only 3 days till the start of one of the courses.

2004 S-Works enduro – Recently tried to upgrade it with an RP23 CTD and discovered that it doesn’t fit.

Pace RC300 – No idea how old that is

Dengfu CX bike – Brand spanking new, un-ridden as yet

OP, I found a similr rebuild kit in my spare parts box (with 1 broken and 1 working pedal strangely). My kit has a circlip in it, which i suspect means it’s for an earlier pedal.

Let me know if you’re interested

I have 30 sqm of hardwood flat (not castelated) decking. It’s 50/50 sun/shade. It’s now been down over a year. I’ve jet-washed it once and it’s just been cleaned and will get it’s second coat of Osmo (put it on with a roller) later on today.

It’s great and I don’t find it’s slippy in the winter.

Done it for over 14 years now. It does help that one of my good mates also works from home (for the same company) so we talk alot more as opposed to sending emails.

Just off out for a ride…..

Yep, looks pretty good to me !

I’ve been working at home for 14 years now.

I’ve got a Herman-Miller aero chair. Desk is made from an Ikea worktop fitted into an alcove. I’ve got a hard plastic mat for the chair to roll on and not trash the carpet

I don’t do video con-calls, so can work in my pants (but I don’t)

Postie has just delivered them. They look nice. Hopefully, the innertubes from Wiggle will arrive today and I can continue with my build.
