seriously consider getting them fitted in resort. Problem with getting them done in the uk (unless you are in a Scottish ski resort in winter) is that they always urge towards too big as they only have one shot and can not adjust them as you use them, and the last thing they want is really unhappy customers coming back after a weeks holiday moaning about being crippled.

As has been said above a good fitter can tweak almost everything so in resort places can be much more aggressive about getting perfect fit as if it is wrong you can come back that night for a tweak. If you go to Cham places like Sole and Footworks will be able to sort you out.

Any lorry that tries to overtake another lorry on a dual carriage way when the incremental speed difference between them is non existent.

I used some black diamond carbon ultra poles on the UTMB TDS last year. Not cheap but very good. Would recommend, they are the avalanche probe style

Skied as kid, moved to boarding for 5 or so years during uni as much easier ski off piste, then went back to skiing as took up ski touring. Since then learnt to telemark and did that for a few years but generally just ski these days, with the odd day of tele / boarding if in resort.

They are all fun and you’ll miss out if you only do one. I used to love boarding because it was great in off piste powder, but once my skiing became good enough to ski steep deep powder I don’t really miss boarding and when I do board it is generally to mess around on piste / boarder cross type things.

Trusteer and Rapport are the same thing. I work in fraud technology and it is good and worth having. Far more effective than standard AV.

Northwind, 12,000 sounds low. According to the google 22,400 people work in the nuclear industry in the North West.

I have both and prefer the cruds even though I have lost a couple of those silly plastic screws and the extensions have dropped off somewhere. The raceblades were always getting knocked and rubbing.

the why is simple, easy to make carbon frames pressfit and cheaper to fit on a production line

Sixt was good for us in Majorca. Make sure you book on line and all the waivers etc are included in the price.

Watch out for companies that charge you for a full tank of gas and expect you to return it empty. Not easy somewhere like Majorca.

I am running 130’s on my ASR SL. I switched to flat bars to compensate a bit and its been fine for the last year in the Peak. It has certainly made the downs more fun.

Obviously can’t guarantee that yours won’t explode / void warranty etc.

makes sense, I did it with out a pilot wire and struggled to get the rear mech one through the chain stays.

The reverb is the only one i have not done. how easy is it to remove and refit the cable?

I just cut the flanges of the plastic shimano push fit bb, once I had realised (which was after a long time trying to force it in!).

Just spent nearly three hours running all the cables internally which was tough. It does look good though.

I bought a meta am frameset bundle of crc last weekend and have just about finished building it up with full xt, reverb, haven bars and hope hoops for under 2500. Only thing not brand new are tyres and pedals which I already had lying around

Si, do you have the conversion kit for a 142 rear axle in stock as well?

anyone know where you can get an XT groupo with a shadow plus rear? I have checked all the usual places but only seem to be able to pick them up individually which adds considerable to the cost.

They may work weekends bit they have not answered the email I sent them this morning!

I ordered some running shoes earlier in the week and got an email last night saying order cancelled. No explanation as to why it was cancelled just says order cancelled.

I do like Yeti’s but the weight of the alu SB66 puts me off and the carbon is too much. I know it shouldn’t…

I was looking at the YT, although I was looking at the LTD version. The only thing putting me of is the fork and not being able to test.

They want 34 seconds as Contradope was only 34 seconds behind wiggins / schleck when the second crash happened within 3km. The time wiggins et al lost due to the second crash was wiped out as they were in the lead group at the time, but not contadors as he was not part of the lead group when the crash happened.

Not a lot of help but I ordered some tyres for Just Riding Along at 4 PM yesterday and they arrived this morning!

Ordered some cables from CRC last week and they took a week to arrive.

I spent the Easter weekend riding Cannock and Dalby on my old klein attitude complete with thumbys due to a cracked Yeti 575! Took it all its stride and has me wondering why I have been on a long travel full suss for the last five years!
