Shouldn’t be. Last time there was an event the MTB trails were all open, just had to share the fire roads with a few runners.

They like to make money too much there, closing the MTB trails would mean a few quid lost from the extortionate £10 parking fee!

Rosemary def for a pot plant, great herb to use plus enjoys sunny positions.

May be a climber like a jasmine…likes sunny places and lets of an amazing scent in the evenings.

Will have to have a look at this option, as spend the day fitting a new cassette crankset etc with my hardtail and experiencing the same problem! now doing it with my full suss, both Hope hubs!

I would say you only really need a hardtail there. I have a whyte905 2010 too, and it is perfect for that kind of stuff, hardtail is most fun there.

They seem to be making everything there more like a blue graded trail! so annoying.

I think Wobbliscott that unfortunately it would not balance out, as if you look at the % of people who did not vote Tory, it far outweighs the number that did. So your idea would see a mass exodus even by biblical standards.

I think you will find that the European Court of Human Rights is NOT an EU institution, and we are not bound to be a signatory of this if we want EU membership. The Lisbon Treaty merely made the EU a fellow signatory of this but also accession states must sign the declaration, there is no legal commitment from current members, of which we are one.

wait there, is ninfan David Cameron?!

If you read the article you will see that immigration from outside the EU is rising just as quickly! so leaving the EU will not solve it.

    Rhubarb, pork and proscuitto.

Wrap pork loin in prosecution then lay on a bed of rhubarb which are cut to about 3 inches long. Roast until done. bloody lovely!

The idea of bureaucracy is out of control in Brussels is an absolute falacy!!

The EU has a tiny amount compared to many UK departments and other member states bureaucratic machines.

I am well and truly IN.

So much rubbish flouted around in the papers about the EU. Yes many of our laws start in Brussels, but the majority of these are to get the rest of the EU in line with everyone else, and our laws are already in line and in many cases way ahead of the ones passed. The impact of these laws is actually very little, the level of Europeanisation is slight.

Yep had complete ACL tear. Took me 18 months to get back in to football, but I was back MTBing within 10 months. Probably not the timescale you were wanting to hear.

MRI def push for. A&E just took an x-ray which would not show damage and even the Dr missed the damage. Apparently they do a kind of knee click test!

Just ice up and rest if it is swollen?

I’d avoid the bike until you know for sure. I just had some ankle weights and just did some knee exercises, but a little at a time. best thing I did was go and see a physio, they gave me a contraption that strapped around my knee and a pipe led in to a barrel that contained ice and water. Worked wonders as you could have it on longer than an ice pack.

so. Book GP and book a private physio in the mean time.

    Heal up soon

I am thinking that the price of 260 is quite a lot? or is that what you’d usually pay for when getting prescription Oakleys?

    YES!

Although saying that, I am in trouble for booking us a week in Sweden wild camping and kayaking…. turns out it is NOT like the Maldives there, which was her first choice.

I’d say go for it, what’s the worst that could happen?!

I only wear bibs in the winter mountain biking, good way of stopping that bit of flesh on show at the back and getting caked in mud. In the summer bibs get far too hot for me.

Funkier ones are really good value, loads of padding and comfortable, only had for a few months but holding up well so far.

Luckily my new half nelson grips are black… not another shade of blue. I think I would have looked a right melon otherwise.
Rims ordered, and gone for the blue. hmmmm.

    Skins A400 tights. Brilliant.

I also put on afterwards the compression socks, seem to work well for me with post race recovery. Even the ones you get from hospital for an op are good!

I’ve only had to use mine a handful of times.
While doing the BHF South Downs 100, a guy came off and smashed his face in, blood everywhere and a good few cuts. Out of a group of 10 riders, I was the only one who could offer something from a first aid kit. I find it crazy that no one had one. You may never use it, but I’d always like to have it just in case.

I did not get on with the Bronsons on my 29er, so changed to Hans Dampf, which are really good! No complaints with them at all.

if we did not vote for the smaller parties, then there would be no need to change in the first place.

    mrwhyte

It is frustrating to hear people say they are going to vote tactically due to our voting system and votes being perceived as wasted. I understand though their points.
If everyone thought like that though then no change would ever happen!

Yep, greens in favour of PR and reform of HoLs from what I can remember.

Obviously not aimed at the politicians who may frequent the forum :D

But would more people on here vote for who they truly believe in if the current FPTP was reformed?

    mrwhyte

What do people think about changing the current voting system then to a form of PR? I was gutted when changing to PR was quashed last time round.
Parties such as the Greens would do far better and you would have far less ‘wasted’ votes.

I am with Ericemel on the chipotle! adds some awesome flavour to a chilli.
I always go with some chopped oregano, fresh of course, not your dried stuff. Tabasco do a little bottle of chipotle sauce, good stuff to use.

Serve with rice and a dollop of creme fraiche.

If you can get hold of some smoked garlic, that adds a really good flavour too.

Swiss Chard is very easy to grow and delicious, I have a great recipe for pickled swiss chard, which has done me over the winter.
I also go for the yellow courgettes, beetroot, springs onions, leeks, carrots and red currants.
Unfortunately not enough space to move my tomatoes, as they got blight last year, so that will be a year without growing them.
Chillies of course in the greenhouse along with lettuce and rocket.
There is a great book, a year on otter farm. Tells you about the growing of the veg in seasons and has some cracking recipes to go with the seasons.

I had some i19s, both mashed, I know I should not judge a brand on one product, but a little reluctant to go with the WTBs again…. hopefully someone can prove me wrong.
