Just deore. they look just like the xt ones but have silver tops instead of gold and just say shimano deore light action sis 7 s on them. If there is an extra click in them I can't find it. Could turn the index off which may work on 8 but not really bothered about the 3 extra gears.

Double checked the price. £540, about a grand less than a Turner 5 spot frame.

ballsofcottonwool, tell me how much a singular peregrine fame costs please as it looks like I have been looking at the wrong price. As far as I can tell they retail for £540 which is why money is tight for the build kit. I expect that this is not more than most bikes, in fact it is less than most suspension forks. Right then, a road frame that will take 2 inch tyres, has braze ons for panniers, full mudguards and three bottle cages. Drop bars and kitted out with the chain set of an very old marin pine mountain. Not really bling, is it.

Half retro? I am simply building up a singular peregrine frame. Money is tight so looking at buying a pair of on-one 29er wheels which I see as a chaper option than a 7 speed disc compatible 29er wheel. Will be using my 7 speed deore thumbies and 7 speed xt mech. I may or may not upgrade to 9 speed kit in the future but for what I want the old 7 speed kit will do nicely. It has worked with out any problems for the last 10+ years and I believe there is plenty of life left in them. There will be nothing Bling about this bike.

Thank you, shall check the single spacers out. As for why I think that would be obvious?

and that black thing on his right wrist is a wrist guard, bit too late as the pink thing on his left wrist is a plaster cast.

They are, I am running Photoshop CS2 on a huge old G3 Tower. I believe it to be the first computer to embrace the USB and use them solely, that and the fact it cost me a tenner kind of gives you an idea of its age. Would like to see a PC of this vintage keep up. If you want to spend a bit less and want one just for general home use the mac mini is worth a look. My mate is an I.T. lecturer and has slated me for using macs for years. He has just bought a Imac and a macbook and sold his windows machines.

Is it an iMac or eMac? I am on the internet on an eMac G4 and I use a wired connection. Just installed the disk which came with my modem and it does 'just work' just as it does on my very old G3 tower. No messing.

Aye thats the one. Just been through the wheelie bin and it is a 121. I am a muppet. I adjusted the mech to no avail. Usualy pretty good with these things and I built the bike up from scratch, just a bit forgetful at times.

lx hollow tech with xt front and rear mechs older 9 speed. going to dig the old one out the bin in a min. The bike is one of the original geared frame inbreds.

Envelope was used but there was about a quids worth of parcel tape. Not the 88p that annoys me, its the time its taken to get here. In my experience the difference between 1st and 2nd class postage prices is very little. I always post at 1st class as I think folk appreciate it, then again I could be wrong.

And if you were charging £2.50 for postage would you then post at 2nd class for £1.62 ? As some one just did to me. I know there is not much in it but it annoys me.

My photo was taken on a crappy nokia 6500 and I got a vote and most of my photo's are taken on cheap plastic 35mm camera's. All the photo's in last weeks assignment were excellent. Just use what you've got.

If you get a good steak, I mean a propper steak with a nice bit of fat running through it then you don't need any sauce. Rump steak of the end of the bone is nice, they are small but lovely, much nicer than the big ones from the top of the bone.

I used to use a LittleLife carier. It had a sun shade and rain cover and lots of storage space. There was also a very handy detachable small rucksack which zipped on the back. Used it with both my kids, last time I used it my little girl was 2 and a half stone and there was no complaints. I would highly recommend them. Also you can adjust the distance between the shoulder straps and the waist strap which made for a very comfortable fit for both me and the missus. Was like this one http://www.littlelife.co.uk/html/child_carriers/voyager-s2.html but older version.
