The fresh or salt water in the toliets question isn’t that daft is it?

I think the whole point of the toilet water was why would it matter and why would you want to know?

Some Americans have a sense of humour, when on a cruise around the Bahamas they did a top 10 of stupid questions…
1 what do you do with the ice sculptures once they have melted?
2 what time is the midnight buffet?
3 is it fresh water or sea water in the toilets?
4 where do the staff sleep?
This was approx 20 years ago and it still makes me chuckle.

if you use McAfee you might need to disable the site adviser for that site only. It sometimes creates form issues on some pages.

I have flown with them to Oz they are okay but like virgin staff – you are privileged to travel with them not the other way round.
I have found that Air New Zealand were really good to fly with but then that would be the longer way round but not the usual Asia stopoff options. Never seem to travel business class although so can’t comment on seat options. You can always look here for types of seats once you have decided who to fly with.
No you need to wear boardies and either uggs or havaianas!

30 working days or 30 calendar days – you need to be specific. Also remember credit is a gift which you can take away at any time.

worst one was as a student on 12 hour shifts in a factory packing the lids you get on the tops of your drinks at MacDonalds and Burger King. The only way to get through it was to wear a radio walkman and think that 2 days work = 1.5 weeks of rent. After that had to sit on a line that printed the labels on plastic M&S pots. Have done the envelope stuffing, insurance document filing although not sure how many of them they found after my weeks stint 🙄

When MrPP had a car/bike interface we were told that the house insurance would stump up. Luckily the first claim went through an inept solicitors firm and 3 years later they asked us for the details again, we told them if they had lost them we could not remember who our insurance was with etc. The second bike/car interface the guy did not claim (thankfully)

We had this with Natwest. We were in India (cash orientated country) MrPP tried to get cash out of the cash point (using joint account card), got a fraud call we answered all the questions, I use the joint account card nothing, went to an internet cafe, no account even on the screen could not transfer the money to a different account. Quite a lot of irate calls followed then both of our cards were active. A curt letter to Natwest when we returned with a list of charges incurred by 3 stops on the card and indicating that you can not take rupees into or out of the country etc a copy of all charges incurred credit appeared a week later (it was approx £70 in total). Did not have a problem with Lloyds-TSB when we were out there. It is no good ringing them as it makes no difference (we had informed them we were traveling). If you do not ask you will never know. I never claimed for the first call as I said in the letter it was to our best interest.

I am veggie (lacto-ovo so I eat dairy but not fish) because my mum was not the greatest of cooks, was not a great meat eater, read about the squalid conditions and inhuman ways some animals are treated and I love animals (except the cats that crap in our garden but that is another post). As most people say in this thread it is a choice, MrPP eats meat and I love cooking whether it is veggie or meat – he just has to taste it! We do buy free range meat from the butchers which I think makes a difference.
I am not one of those that preach and I hate it when people ask why I wear leather shoes, I usually respond with I use to buy non-leather shoes but I feet really stank after wearing them.
The reason why most people do not like veggie food is because it is suppose to look and taste like meat. If you want to try veggie recipes get a cook book like ‘Food for Thought’ or ‘Cranks’
After 22 years of being veggie I still miss jellied sweets (eg harribo although they do a veggie version), fish (&chips) bacon and roast chicken.

Foodwise – I cook from scratch and always look in the bargain section. I generally buy mince, free-range chicken etc. Thursday evening and Sunday late afternoon are good times to get the bargains.
Buy food when it is in season so now for raspberries, pineapples. Things that do not grow at this time of year are more expensive and not as tasty.
Look at the recipe cards in Sainsburys, feed a family of 4 for a week on £50 etc you can use the information and shop elsewhere. Shop at markets to get better deals an hour before they pack away. Growing your own food is always good but it is not cheap. I would say it is not really cost effective as it depends what you grow and can freeze and of course the weather!
I check and if necessary chop and change our gas & elec suppliers every 9 months to get the best deals.
Direct debit usually means a discount and allows you to budget as does reading your own meters.
Collect points if your local shop does it so what if they keep information on your shopping habits.
Make your own beer – now that really is a money saver!
Somethings are worth spending money on some aren’t (like cleaning products I get the cheaper makes and 1 does all jobs).
outgoings 328 pcm and that is just bills not mortgage or rent
Insurance (house)20
life insurance 30
elec/gas – 65
water 31 (not on a meter)
tv/phone/sky 43
tv license 12
council tax 127
Good luck with the budgeting you could always try putting everything in a spreadsheet and working out where and when and what you spend your money on. I use to do this in a cheque book as I use to be clueless about how much money had and what was due to be paid.

The 2 people that could not drive this morning and delayed me by 45 minutes getting into the office grrrrr! My car share would not hang out of the window to shout learn to drive to cheer me up (I think the 2 police directing traffic put her off).

we were a bt customer, they peed us off when we moved house, last year we moved to sky (with BT as internet & phone providers) as MrPP said he wanted to go back to sky. I reluctantly let him, a year later we are counting the days until we move away from them (forever).

I get some wonderful drivers on my morning/evening commute. In the peaks we got “pay some tax” off some people who were driving a heap of a car. If only they knew how much road tax we pay…
Earlier this week having some fun on my way home, upset a range rover driver by overtaking him – he was doing 35 on a 60 road. Weather dry, sunny, road clear before you all launch into a its a limit not a target comments. Apparently he did not like the ‘you have a small dick’ hand gesture.

Need to vent some anger – cycling back from the physio and use a very wide cycle & pedestrian path. It was me against the college kids, I pinged my bell no movement, I shouted “move” still not movement. I would like to point out that they are walking towards me. When I knock them over like a strike in bowling – is that classed as bad cycling?

I find Boots own brand of lip salve very good – even got SPF15 in it. On a plus note it still keeps it shape after a 40 degrees wash.

We stayed here years ago and it was wonderful, they had no restaurant then so we ate continental breakfast on the balcony. You can have hours of amusement with the smoked glass bathroom door.
Same price now as 5 years ago and also they organised a cab to collect us from the airport which was great.
Walking distance to the Trevi fountain (wonderful ice-cream sold there), vatican, sistine chapel etc when are you going – can supply you with tourist book and penguin outfit!

No to the ped egg, it won’t help if she has really bad heels (she needs a belt sander). Of course you could get udderly smooth for feet (not in the hamper though).
I was given an electric shaver once by a b/f (not MrPP) – he might as well have attached a tag saying here you go hairy, merry christmas
You are of course missing the champagne, chocolates. Good books every one seems to be raving about the Girl with the dragon tattoo (it’s a trilogy and all three are out now).
Don’t forget the cake and balloons.

I got mine through moneysupermarket – opted for the best cover but at least you can compare. Currently have insure4me as they cover mountain biking abroad. Never had to claim on holiday insurance so can’t give feedback on that side of it.

I would be quite honest maybe other styles does not fit her properly. Triumph make the bras in M&S not sure about the knickers so maybe this is something to take in account. Do you know what style she likes ie with knickers thong, midi, camis, boy shorts, granny bashers? Bras – wired, non-wired, balcony, plunge, minimizer? Depending on her age some underwear just does not look good on anything than a size 6 body. Camel toe and moose knuckle come to mind from the days I use to use the work gym and communal changing rooms. Make sure you get the right size as VPL never looks good. Given that silk underwear always feels nice.

wwaswas – that was my view as to effort, showing watersplashes etc – also if you saw PP slide past the door when I polished all the doors during a spring clean and got polish on the floor. Going for tiles mainly because it is a kitchen / dining room and we have a patio door out to the garden and we get to look after a springer spaniel for most of the winter… every year! We have underfloor heating in the bathroom and it is a pain in the arse – every time we get a power cut we have to set everything again

When I had this type of medical I was 41bpm but I was running a couple time a week but I have never considered myself to be of olympic runner standard. When I stopped running it rose to 43bpm. Low for a femal but it is my normal rate.
It is always worth getting your heart rate checked at the doctors (the nurses) – they do this over a time frame to work out what is normal for you. I just have low blood pressure – I think if they could they would just say it was lethargic.
Worrying will only get you looking up the symptoms on the internet and finding some debilitating illness.

Burley is a lovely little village – several cafes and a couple of pubs. Very touristy – no cash point although some of the cafes do take cards with a minimum spend. Apparently the peg bags in the witches coven is a must – I think a couple of years ago they were £17. Lots of places to just wander with the dog and bike but be aware that the locals think they own the new forest – we came across some quite haughty horse riders whose opinion was “get orf my land”. The dogs will have a fantastic time in the bracken. Obviously beware of the wild horses, ticks and pigs (truffles) at this time of year. You can always go into Brockenhurst or Lymington if Burley is a little slow – I think there are only about 8 shops there (incl coffee shops and pubs). I would also suggest getting an OS map as the paths get adapted over the years – your local library might have one to hire. This is Burleys website
If you want to do some riding during the weekend – somarich & WCA are locals on this website.
