I did a first aid course for Scouts with a paramedic and he said that, if you’ve got to the point where you’re doing CPR or using a defibrillator, the life is very unlikely to be saved anyway but it is, obviously, worth the go.

@kerley – did you write the recent piece for Cycling Weekly? If not it’s a hell of a coinkydink!

    (Works better spoken.)

A nurse is giving a male patient a check over. Afterwards she says to him ‘I’ve been in nursing for 30 years but I’ve never seen anyone with a penis shaped like a saxophone before.’

He says ‘It’s unusual but all the family have genitals shaped like musical instruments’

Nurse says ‘ Hang on, that reminds me – I saw a woman with a vagina like a mouth organ last week.’

    ‘That’ll be our Monica…’

I’ve completed it in the past. It was hard. I’m old and tired and it takes a lot of time.

I probably will do the Restrap Solstice Century this weekend though (on road).

Planning to do this as a bit of compensation. Depending on the weather.

joelowdenFull MemberI had three LC’s…2 Naked and an F2, I would love another shot on one… however, old age and rose tinted specs I think 🤔🤔.

Me too, followed by an RD400. Loved ‘em at the time. Have one now? No.

My wife told me that she wants us to split up due to my obsession with detective movies.

I said ‘Good idea, we’ll cover more ground that way.’

My signed copy of The Wasp Factory is a treasured possession. I am pretty sure I own every book he wrote.

Last Friday I got cheap tickets to see Dr Feelgood and Nine Below Zero at Blackburn KGH. Saw Dr Feelgood at Colne almost exactly to the day 33 years ago. :-0
Not 100% sold on current lead singer. Didn’t know much about Nine Below but they were very good. The guitarists in both bands were really good and I was thinking how cool it would be to see them both playing. Last bit of the Nine Below set they wheeled ‘em on and it was ace!
The cheap tickets were a fiver each. #winning.

I have been told by a friend who works for a company that has offices and a shop on there that they are ‘challenging the guy that owns the mill yard about it’.

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between a Galibier Mistral Pro and a Mistral Pro 2 please?

As said above, it depends on the dogs. We have two Border Collies and it just works. Very different characters but they’ve made a team. I think we were extremely lucky. In summary, it’ll either work or it won’t. Life’s a gamble though, eh?

Thanks to all. Some great stuff there. We have taken bikes over in the van and ridden a bit over there. I remember doing the Voie Verte between Dinard and Dinon and it was lovely. https://www.francevelotourisme.com/itineraire/saint-malo-a-arzal-voie-2-bretagne/st-malo-evran

When the kids were young we used to go to Normandy, Brittany and the Vendee. I’ve got very happy memories of those places and so I would love to go back on my bike.

I think I read it in the reviews. Anyhoo, no matter. I’ve now given them to Mrs S and ordered a pair of XL ones.

If you see a skinny, bald, old bloke wandering about on Saturday with two border collies come and say hello – it could well be me!
