Probably because he had a quite word with The Kuensster. Or whatever his pet name for her is.

‘Silly Kuensster’ now I would imagine.

I like to drink Bourbon out of a square shaped JD (I know that’s not a bourbon) glass that I was given. It’s lasting well but it’s only a matter of time before it gets broken. Anyone seen any nice looking square ones by any chance?

I was all set on black forks and then I got an email from North Cycles last night and I thought ‘Ooh!’

I think the pacific blue is close to the front dry bag (it is an Alpkit one!) but the rear one is more greeny/blue in real life. I quite like the sage as it’s a contrast.

    Which one do you prefer?

    Sage

    Or pacific blue?

These bad boys are very good. I think they missed a trick in not calling them jalapeanuts though…

I’m ok with both the name and the prompts tbh, but each to their own.

When did tempest forks start having mounts?
I’m not sure what you mean. The forks on Tempest are for flat mount brake calipers.

Sorry, I thought you meant the brake mounts. I realise now that you mean the cargo cage mounts. It’s a recent thing. The original ones didn’t but now it’s an option. I contacted PX and they will sell them to me but they’re £204.98.

You just need to check the axle crown measurement are about the same on both forks

Check both use the same head tube. Almost certainly tapered

Also check the disc mounts are the same, flat or post mount

Finally check that they both hold the front wheel on the same way, axle vs quick release

A-C is the same at 395.

Looks like headtube is the same

    Flat mount

Looks like both are 12mm thru axle.

I *think* that I read that the Tempest offset was 45mm so not a million miles away. Hmmm indeed.

Still need to find some decent gloves that stop the old Raynauds setting in.

Tell me about it. Even worse when you get put on blood thinners for life.

One good bit of winter kit I’m glad I have on winter commutes is a Belgian style cap from Decathlon. Keeps my ears warm. Looks like it’s discontinued, but this type: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/merino-wool-road-cycling-cap-black/_/R-p-334458
