My dad when I was growing up. His work moved him 300 miles away when I was about to start my gcses. I lived with our neighbours during the week while he did a weekly commute.

oh dear m_f, hope they come through quickly! one of our nct group babies has her first tooth through at 16 weeks!

Teddyflash doesn’t do much of an evening cluster feed, he seems to prefer a morning cluster feed for some reason.

    congrats a_a, what flavour?

Sorry about the manual we’re definitely still looking for ours – can’t find where to re-set the feed/sleep button to make him go for more than 2 hours at night without feeding!

Not for the same length of time as a bike ride or proper walk, no, probably not. I’d use the moby.

I thought 6 months for a bike? But I wouldn’t over winter anyway, as they don’t have your body warmth to keep them warm like in a sling.

yes i can see there might be a lot more hanging about if therere more babies. do you know what route they’re planning? if there are escape routes i think it’s worth a try. excuse lack of caps, feeding!

we took Teddy most of the way up Pen-y-Ghent when he was 3 weeks old, watching the 3 peaks. He slept most of the time, it was fine. We took him for a walk from Grassington last sunday as well, and I took him on a 5 mile walk from Kettlewell a couple of weeks ago. Warm suit and hat on and inward facing carrier = warm and sluggly sleeping baby. We’d not think twice about a 3 hour walk with him, he’s 9 weeks now. He just sleeps all the way round.

What a corageous post Kunstler. I agree with DaRC_L, tiny steps is the way forward. I know how hard it can be to get yourself out of bed some days, and I always found making lists a real help, even if the list consists of; Get dressed, wash up, have shower etc then you can feel like you have achieved something that day, and it makes the next slightly better.

Wishing you all the best, sorry I don’t have time to post more.

As above also tea at the mount nelson, wander round the waterfront, drive down to the cape and hopefully see some whales on the way and the Penguins at Boulders Beach.

Very sad news, he will be much missed by all. My thoughts are with his family.

Thanks for asking, we discussed chemo with the vet, but we would have to go to Knaresborough for it, which is a half hour drive each way, and he hates the car at the best of times, so we don’t think it’s a good option. We have some steroids for him, which hopefully should make him feel better for a couple of months. The vet said if they don’t work in a week, they won’t work, so we are just keeping our fingers crossed at the moment that we get a bit more time with him.
We are just so sad, we have never had to make a decision like this before.

Thanks everyone, appointment tonight so we’ll see what our vet says. He’s certainly perkier now he’s being spoiled with pouch food rather than the normal tinned 🙂

JonM glad you are doing ok now.

what ? Drugs did me a big disservice so I’m rightly contemptuous of them! Your experience may differ, but I cannot comment on that.

but just because they didn’t work for you doesn’t mean they don’t for everyone. For a lot of people the drugs are exactly what they need to ge them in the right state of mind for the cbt or other counselling to work effectively – that’s exactly what they did for me. Without the drugs first I just wouldn’t have been able to get my head around the CBT at all.
