I'm being unemployed. I'm mooching around, pottering and painting the dining room.

Oh we heard about that easygirl!! We just had a thumb broken in 3 places, so not quite so dramatic.

We rode more climbs than a lot of their guests do, but there is still an uplift to the start of the climbs, otherwise you'd be doing a hell of a lot of nice twisty road and wishing you had your road bike with you!

It was fantastic. Inspite of various calamities like my bike being run over by a german and Rich breaking 2 rear mech hangers, we had an awesome time. Next year's trip being planned already.

What size are you? I'm a 38 generally and have a pair of Northwave Celcius in a 39 that are fine with winter socks. They're not women's shoes but fit fine. I use motodivas in summer too, just got a new pair in fact.

I ordered some shoes 2 weeks a go, got them within 5 days. Not as quick as merlin/crc/wiggle but no problems. I did pay for the quick delivery, but they were still cheaper than getting them elsewhere.

Just remember pet insurance is a serious golden egg for the insurance companies

pet insurance paid out £1500 for our cat to get repaired when he got run over. We don't have that kind of money kicking around, so would have really struggled. we do have £9 a month for the insurance – that £1500 is nearly 14 years of insurance payments. I'll take that thanks.

Yeah, well those romans really knew what they were doing you know.

It was so last year, so this year and quite possibly so next year as well 😉

I've never been pregnant but a couple of my friends who are keen cyclists have. One carried on commuting to work till about 30 weeks, she had to change from her road bike to her mtb to accommodate the bump 🙂 the other did a half marathon at 14 weeks, and carried on as she describes it "cycling till about 24 weeks" and "riding her bike" till about 34 weeks.

Also remember the racer Sally Hibberd saying she was still using her turbo trainer up till the day before she delivered 🙂
