really not that bad. Got "crunched" last september, but found another job straight away – had to take a pay cut, but a copeable one – certainly could have been a lot worse. Am actually happier in new job, so it was the right outcome anyway.

    sorry binners 🙁

agreed with above you don't "catch" it. See your gp, they can prescribe cream. It's related to hayfever and asthma, do you get either of those? I am blessed with all 3.

Perhaps in the middle class utopia of STW, but no doubt made a difference to some

yes it probably does make a difference for some (although most people I have heard of are just putting the money towards their pram) but I still think it's a fair cut compared to cutting other spending.

I think cutting CTF a fair one, and I hope they cut the £190 health in pregnancy grant too. both fairly pointless imo.

Camping is not restricted to tents. Caravans are classed as camping too

But if you don’t accept tents you are a caravan site, not a campsite!

I'm 26 weeks, and we have only just started buying stuff.

I agree with the in limbo thing we had our first mw appointment at 6 weeks (I think) and then there’s a whole lot of nothing waiting for the scan so you can start telling people. Once you get past a certain number of weeks though, the time just seems to fly by, I’m not quite sure how I got to 26 weeks!

Have a look out on freecycle for stuff, I’ve just bagged a full set of washable nappies to take us right through form birth to potty training on our freecycle – that’s a serious amount of money saved! Bought cot on ebay as well, so that was a lot saved – the baby doesn’t care if anything’s brand new!

We're now at the stage where he can feel the baby moving about as well as me, which is fab, and off for a 4d scan in a couple of weeks which I'm really excited about.

Kit is just short for Christopher generally, I really like it.

CXI our cat is called Cosmo, I love the name but thought it better to inflict it on a cat than a child!

Walking through a nudist beach in the south of france, saw a guy who had found an inventive way to keep his car keys safe. They were on a ring. dangling off the end of his kn0b.

I've got some short spesh ones, but they're really a bit too short – only for wearing when it's proper warm. Otherwise, Endura I think. (I'm 5ft2 or 3)

I did for the first 2 years of my schooling as we lived in the Netherlands and Shell paid for our fees at the British School there. I think it was too early on in my education for it to make any impression though, I can barely remember it. Rest of my education was all state, although I was very lucky that our local comp was consistently one of the best in the area, possibly my dad would have gone with a different option if that had not been the case, especially given our family circumstances – boarding school would have made a lot of sense.

I have had it instilled in me that if I have a degree of intelligence and apply it I will succeed.

that was instilled in my by my father more than by my school. Having said that I’m not against private education at all, I think you need to look at the individual child and choose the right school for them. I know I got a far better education at my state school than neighbours of ours did at the fee-paying schools they were sent to, paying fees does not at all guarantee quality of education.

What I did find entertaining was all the public school people at my uni (Edinburgh) who looked down on us state school people, and there were quite a few who did. We’d all ended up at the same uni so not quite sure what their problem was really.
