I usually just lever the adjuster off with a flat screw driver to get it over the internal retaining ring.

Holding solid rocket boosters together with velcro O-rings was always going to be a challenge.

I ride a Stumpjumper that has a fox triad rear shock and a maxxpro highroller while wearing my 661 velcro fix pads.

Not noticed any major problems with any of the above.

Is the velco becoming undone? e.g. failing? Never had this even on my 661 knee pads as the verlco is very very strong. I had a knee pad slip down once due to user error not doing the pad up tight enough but no failure in velcro function.

Buttons wont allow a snug fit for different sizes including your own body changes etc.

Just don’t agree with this post IME.

Was at the Peel for the first time today. Brings GT up to std and will hopefully create more trail development in future. Had organised a work trip and they all enjoyed it. Nice place to sit etc.

I noticed the difference going from 170 to 175 going up hills.

The more you ride the mojo the less you will remember the comparison of the enduro. Within a month you will say it is better so don’t worry about it too much. 😆

Pointless review until you spend more time on it, especially if you can not tell which way PP on and off is. Ride more, report back.

I have one on my 06. As said above, you will have to measure your normal top saddle rail height to see where it ends up when fully down.

I necked two 08 SIS gels at the inners enduro which I had bought for the puffer in 07. They were a bit lumpy but other than that no issues…

Raceface race rings did 4 years on my bike with no chain suck so I put the same type back on. Love a good contradictory post on a forum lol.

Loco is ace, spoke to him on the phone before and he did a good job of servicing my DHX air. I am suprised nobody has had this problem. I’m going to wait until it happens again and try simply opening up and closing the top damper to see if it solves it.
No point in sending it to Loco while it is working.

They would get loco’d etc but have a bit of stanchion wear on the spring side below the seal and I want to self service them until they die and try to put some money aside for their replacement.

Cheers Ben, I’ll take the girlfriend as she can speak the lingo. Or may just head over to Zero G as I only hear good words?

Konastoner – will wait for it to happen again and try just that.

Carbon – that is the usual problem. Mine is just plain odd but hoped others had seen it.

More confused now. Took 15ml out of the damper and closed it up. Full travel back to normal. Put 5ml back in – still full travel. Put another 5ml back in and still full travel. Put in the remainder and still have full travel. I have lost maybe 2 to 3ml between taking it out and putting it all back in.

Could 2 to 3ml excess cause 20mm of lost travel? I’m not sure. I’m going to wait until the problem happens again and try just opening it up and closing it again to check its not a weird air thing…

I think the lower is drier than it should be. I will have them apart when I get some new fluid and have a proper look again. I don’t overfill the lower and give them a right clean out before going back together. I had thought that under harsh bottom out oil may be getting pushed up past the seal and held under normal use but how could it hold enough pressure to create an early lock out due to too much volume?!

    Confused.

My DHX has been unreliable with it suffering cavitation and inconsistant rebound. A simple Van R coil seems to out perform it in every area apart from stand up sprinting where the DHX PP is better. Reducing the air volume on the DHX did make it feel better on my 06 enduro.

The DHX was serviced at the start of the year and is cavitating again. I think this may be one of the reasons TF don’t like it.

Pete – not sure how the roller came off but it sealed the fate for putting on the new bits.

    Slightly worn.

Last picture shows the difference in chain length. Once the chain lost a roller it was time to change it out at 3 years.

I replaced my drivetrain at the start of this month. The cogs had done 4 years and the chain 3 years. I clean and lube my drivetrain after almost every ride. I have pics of the worn stuff somewhere against the new.

I’m in St Gervais mid August. Will probably pick up a hire bike for a couple of days to keep it simple.

I have an enduro with both coil and air shock set to my weight/sag etc etc. They both absorb the “drop test” perfectly. The video shows two shocks that are setup very diffently but that does not mean that an air shock can not be setup to give the same outcome on this “test”.

Did the Inners uplift on my wee enduro today. Got 9 runs in and all were ace fun.

I never got on with them on tubes but they have been ace on my camelback bladder after an over the bars put a hole in it.

TFTuned put a CCDB coil on someones 2010 enduro so you could give them a buzz.

    mrplow

My bike still climbs well seated with the coil – probably has more traction. It is out the saddle sprinting that is the only down fall.

I Ache – I asked you about yours on another thread. The ~155mm is a nice compromise as well. I can not justify the cost when my DHX Air does the pedalling/race business well and the coil does the fun…or I could sell the pair. I don’t trust the DHXair, it has started cavitating again after a rebuild at the start of the year from Loco. I think is is an unreliable shock long term and the rebound damping on the VanR seems 200% more consistant/able.

I think it is a sweeping statement to say you can not set up a coil as you require. I could probably get a little more slow speed compression damping which would do the trick.

Have a VanR on an 06 enduro. Tuned by TF to pedal but still has too much bob for standing up sprinting like you might do on enduro races. For everything else it is amazing. They were worried about tuning out all the benefits so probably played it safe.

I Ache – Did I see a monarch plus on your enduro – what are your thoughts?

DHX Air – Full propedal all the time

Triad – No pro pedal most of the time

Yup, down to the green that way and back up the road then off on some fire roads. Maybe up past the freeride and out that way and back by a lower road or the blue.

Yeah I could probably make a route up like that for them. We can split into different groups. Make the route so it collides with ours hopefully as the other group will probably do a mix of red and blue.

So start by sending them down zoom or bust to get to the green…oh wait that won’t work 😆

It is lovely, we watched the sunrise and you could see the little ribbons of cloud lifting up off the different bodies of water etc. We then had a very drunken running race down the Ptarmigin Ridge route. When I woke up at 3PM and went to get out of my bed I collapsed on the floor in pain. Took about 6 years for my knee to heal which included starting to ride bikes again for a year which seemed to be the cure.

We went up the Ben at night once in shorts and Ts with beer and music. As we passed walkers we asked what the nightclub was like at the top. They of course told us there was not one and we argued that there was and they must have missed it.

They must have been worried because they called the mountain rescue and some fell running rescue monkey came tanking up the hill to check we were alright at about 11.30PM! We gave him beer and had a laugh and then he went on his way running straight back down the hill. Was all very odd…

    Cool place.
