in reference to allthepies statement, it wasn’t particularly constructive criticism now was it, its about as useful as saying “thats sh*t” only with the addition of “your sh*t”. If you post things like that why would you be surprised that it caused the (desired) reaction? If you don’t like it, fine, you can’t please all the people.

I like lifestyle product adverts on the backs of magazines. They fill me with an enormous sense of well being.

not true, In fact I’d happily prove it, anyone down south fancy bringing along some cheap speaker cable and I’ll swap the runs on my system. You can then, for yourself, hear the difference.

Arguing this point is like saying all HiFi’s sound the same. Cable can and does have a profound difference on sound that comes out of your speakers.

HiFi systems are just network diagrams, methods of reproducing recorded sounds, of course they all sound exactly the same, how foolish to think altering as much as just one component would make a noticeable difference to the sound reproduced.

I used to use Nordorst but its too costly and I had to give it back 😀

Technic’s stuff whilst well put together its very much the “Ford” of the HiFi world, well put together but built to a price.

That will probably have limited appear, DJ’s favour the 1210’s and Audiophiles tend to prefer more exotica.

That said I maybe looking to replace my sadly now sold Garrard 301 with something affordable..?
