I’d say the cold probably contributed if you hadn’t warmed up properly, also Inadequate core stability is often a major cause to back issues.

if you have a rear mech then it shouldn’t jump off or climb up the cassette (which is what it will do without the mech due to the rising profile on the teeth) I’m guessing your running this as a single speed rather than geared??

these are, for the most part, matters of craft rather than art, to do with compensating for the defects of the photographic process

isn’t true art the inspired result of a perfectly executed craft?

I suppose the same argument could also apply to modern & classical art.

I did but I’ve not properly digested it yet, every time I look at it these big numbers flash up and that reminds me of all these wedding expenses that I’m trying to sort out!!

the Podmiester is going too? hmmm… if I was to tie a bungie to his seat post it’d be like having a personal uplift! :D

and its the £10.00 lenses and he fact that there’s loads of this kit knocking around really cheap that made me take a punt on it, I’m having a load of fun with it now, it took a while for me to suss out all the dials but I think I’ve got that all sorted now and I’m eagerly awaiting the arrival of the first load of photos! (remember the ‘pleasure’ in waiting?)

the camera & helios-44m lens with strap & 3x films (2x B&W 1x Colour) cost me £30.00 and the shop gives 3 month warranty! the Hanimex cost me about £20.00 but I wanted to add a lens that would add little more versatility to the package :)

another vote for the Gaggia Classic, pop down to your local wittards and see if they’ll sell you the exdemo one and you may end up with a cheeky bargain! (I bought mine for £130.00 and got a duralit burr grinder £30.00 using that tactic and they were solvent then!!)

I recently bought some blue mountain beans from ebay and by christ they are good!!

my Orange subzero clocks in at about 31lbs as its built up with ‘zocchi 66’s and Mavic 823’a, if I were to swap them over for something lighter it would come in waaaay lighter, but then thats not what I want, I find that about 31-32lbs is about spot on, it feels planted when heading downwards, over stuff and under braking and its not too much of a ball ache on the ups. I also know that its not going to send me rockwards in a puff of cancer causing nanotubes and snake oil! :D

Personally I’m of the view that (your) mountain bike build is all down to personal preference rather than conforming to an ideal that had been cooked up during a few over enthusiastic (and no doubt elitist) circle jerking sessions? :D

but then I also think racing is silly. yes I’m an idiot.

I’m not a Vegan or a Veggie but I do believe that eating anything from the sea or from rivers is fundamentally wrong and will send you to hell.

I would probably go Vegan (but not vegetarian) if I could bear to think so much about my diet but too be honest I simply don’t have the time!

oh, I should add that I was horrified to here that blond lass from the Israeli Army refer to their activities as part of an “ultimate solution” on the news yesterday/the day before, I genuinely could not believe my ears!

Perhaps if both sides stopped indoctrinating their populations and more importantly their children with hate for each other then there may one day be a glimmer of hope, I can’t see anyone coming out of this favorably.

Personally I think its a bit over the top leveling residential areas, schools etc just because something not that far removed from a glorified firework lands in your rose garden or onto of your SUV.

I can’t help wishing the whole region would suffer a catastrophic earthquake followed by an enormous flood to level it all out and make them all start again!

personally I blame the Swiss! :P

you offer me Lidl grapes!! I come back from my time in the wilderness and all you offer is some Lidl grapes!! you could have had a collection, looked down the back of the sofa and then gone to Aldi surely? Oy Vey!!

Actually I was talking to my dear friend “the chef” the other day, and we got on to the fact that he drives an aging merc and that lead us to ponder that the majority of Jewish people we know all tend to drive only German cars!?!

now about the PduS, will it be gnarly gravity assisted loonacy or is it going to be mostly an orgy of uphill self flagellation? I’m all for the former the latter bring me out in hives!!

are they washed? you shouldn’t eat unwashed grapes you know? oh and please tell me they aren’t product of Israel!?!

I’m worse, both online and offline, I’m actually permanently ashamed, embarrassed and angry on behalf of others with every second that passes whilst they are in my company.
