paint the car with drab olive green paint, take off the number plates and if they ever come around just tell them its a large bush and its been in your garden for years. You’ll be fine.

I had 3 Xperia Z3’s all crack spontaneously, twice in front of my eyes!

O2 replaced the first two without a problem, the third they refused to issue another Z3 and instead I had the LG G3, which also cracked, I then had repaired and its been as good as gold since.

I was tempted to upgrade to the Xperia Z5 Premium but having seen that this bullshit is still ongoing I think I’ll go for the LG X10 instead.

“looks like we’d best get shut of that blood oil boys”

“seems a shame though, are you sure they can trace it back?”

“yep Japanese oil & Syrian oil are not even close”

    “whats the plan?”

“sell it cheap for a week then publish a threat of possible skyrocketing prices”

    “sure thing boss”

    ….or something like that.

I drive a 96 Volvo 850SE 2.5ltr, had an intermittent fault, which often see’s these head to the scrapyard as garages tend to claim its the ECU or similar and could cost a fortune to diagnose let alone fix.

After about 3 days of head scratching I managed to suss out that it was the Engine Temp Sensor and it cost me a whopping £20 for the sensor and a few quid to a mate to swap them over (I would have done it but the restaurant has me too busy).

Now thats fixed I anticipate only about another £100 spend on the horizon (replacement shock) and then it should be good for at least another 12 mths. (oh a small rusty patch on the drivers side wing)

All the spares are available for these things and thankfully they’re from just before everything became overly computerised.

It’s also very comfortable, safe and quick. Whats more once we capture those ISIS oil wells the cost of unleaded is bound to plummet!!

And its a saloon so it can’t ever be considered “desirable”

a screw just fell out of the back of it, I fear it may die soon. I hope not!!

Best take it in to the living vacuous hell that is the piousness bar, oh i can’t wait.

in a side note I’ve had a sucession of MBP’s and they have all been very very good. I hate them.

isn’t it someone that finds the drum from an old washing machine and adapts it to some other purpose that its arguably shit at being used for then manages to sell it for more than they spent on it? (but not accounting for hours, equipment, parts, etc)

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – There will be a meeting tomorrow night at the Fortescue Club on Wrafton Road at 8PM. The meeting will be to give an update on where things are and agree on a suitable way forward with regards to Planning objections and the charging / 24 hr access etc. We would like to be able to put a proposal to the owners from the group at some point after the meeting. It will NOT be an evening to just air grievances about being charged for parking. It has to be a constructive positive meeting. We will also be looking for some helpers after the event as to be honest this thing has got huge and we need help! PLEASE keep an eye out tomorrow on here before attending in case anything changes, as we are doing this in between working, looking after our kids and walking the dogs……. Hopefully see some of you tomorrow

    is the current situation.

we run https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/ on all devices simply because I genuinely believe that wiretapping peoples internet usage is a gross invasion of privacy and I know full well that BT are not to be trusted under any circumstances.

Privacy is a right that is very easy to lose and almost impossible to regain.

I used to have a vitara that I modified (3inch body lift, 3 inch suspension lift, BFG MT’s, etc etc) it was fantasticbut would tramline on the motorway and go no faster than 60 without being a liability. I wouldn’t buy a Jimny unless it was from KAP Suzuki (if they’re still going?). If you’re looking for a small Japanese 4×4 seek out an old suzuki LJ90 and modify it, they are wonderful. Or an original Toyota.

aracer its all kicking off down there again, apparently an old mate of theirs let them off a massive and embarrassing debt ages ago then their mate ran up a big poker debt and they’re refusing to pay, it’ll probably end up with slug pellets in the water butts again. That said they do love popping around to aforementioned house for a bbq due to the south facing garden so who knows, perhaps they’ll just buy his house?

I cook 95% of our dishes on live fire at our restaurant, if you want to avoid lots of smoke don’t burn the bark and only use seasoned then kiln dried timber. For £300 or so you could get a proQ hotsmoker and just use the base as a fire but then you can cook amazing food too. I got mine from Alyson at http://www.hotsmoked.co.uk just be careful as real BBQ is very addictive!

those potatoes on a spiral are called “tornado potatoes” we used to do them and they are very popular!

We’ve just been featured in Food & Travel Magazine this month, it mentions our Street Food roots, click on the button on the front page of our site :) http://www.theexmoorbeastro.com some lovely photography too (apologies for the photo of me and the missis in advance!)

When we had the truck we were based in N.Devon, there was no charge to operate a mobile food business and the council were very positive about us running “pop up dinners” and even suggested some fantastic coastal sites, also the National Park Authority were very supportive and we catered a few of their excellent events. West Somerset council on the other hand wanted almost £1000 per year for a licence (which apparently only went towards funding the licensing scheme!) and were very restrictive when it came to sites.

The highways authority only have a concern if you can be considered to be a potential obstruction, this can apply to people passing and slowing/stopping. As long as you are sensible with your pitch and consult the relevant authorities before pitching up you shouldn’t have any problems with the authorities.

As I tell everyone that considers cooking for a living, expect to work bloody hard, long hot hours on your feet, whilst all your friends and family are enjoying themselves. Its not a holiday or an easy job, but it does have its own rewards.

Oh and if you’re anywhere near a newsagent you can find us in the June edition of the excellent Food & Travel Magazine!! (on sale now)

yep, built ran and ultimately sold our very popular street food truck, we avoided street food markets and such in favour of doing “pop up dinners” in local villages that had lost their pubs etc. Some evenings we’d feed between 60-80 people!!

I say sold it, that was because we now do this: http://www.theexmoorbeastro.com

    get one of these:

    http://www.nisbets.co.uk/KitchenAid-Heavy-Duty-Mixer-White/CA986/ProductDetail.raction

Its more powerful than the “Professional” (has a 500w rather than the 325W in the pro) is almost silent and produces MUCH BETTER results than a Kenwood Chef, which is what we replaced.

Oh and shop around we bought ours for considerably less than that AND it came with a free 4 slot kitchenaid artisan toaster!
