Odd both accounts are showing sent messages and I know other emails have got through! I’m truly confused.

Daft question, they aren’t in your junk email folder, as I have had emails from hotmail.co.uk go into my hotmail.com junk folder. Just a random thought! Though I assume you will have checked.

    Rob,

I replied to my for sale thread with:

Hi Rob, I sent you an email at about 11 this morning. I replied to your mail so you should have it!

    I’ll resend now.

    And then:

Resent and resent via separate email account. Hope one of them has worked. If not, let me know.

    Dave

Did neither of them work? I sent one via hotmail and one via icloud. Find it hard to believe 2 emails didn’t get through!

I had a request for further pics from another buyer and asked for confirmation that my email got through. they responded they had it.

Funnily enough doing the same build myself.

I tried the Enve wheels on a T275, they did feel good. But, I just cannot see the benefit of Enve rims over the light bicycle ones.

If you are set on Enve and want colour matched decals email Intense as they do Enve with matching decals as an option on complete builds.

We’ve a Working Cocker and he’s gentle and friendly. Not aggressive in anyway.

He will stand his ground with other dogs and stand up for himself but he has to be provoked first by them barking and snapping at him.

Lots has been written about rage and it’s something we looked into a lot to make sure ours would be ok. The conclusion we got to was it was more common in show cockers that were golden and it was something that these days is rare if it exists at all.

I won’t deny it he was a little “cockerdile” when he was young but it passed in a few months once he learnt his place, this it seems is a common cocker trait!

Got both. XT on Niner and Jones, Zee on Nukeproof. Only swapped XTs off the Mega as I fancied black brakes.

Yes the Zees are more powerful, but the XTs have done a few uplifts with 180mm rotors and were fine.

    I’d happily ride either.

Bright green? Though to be fair all my bikes are black.

    I second Le Chameau.

Girlfriend has a pair, zips started to fail after 16 months and come apart. Took them back, new pair no questions asked! They come with a 2 year guarantee so yes expensive at first but a 2 year guarantee on something worn for at least 3 hours a day walking the hound works out a good deal, considering the pair of Hunters she had only lasted 6 months.

I’m 5’11” and ride a large Air 9. Medium was slightly too short in top tube and needed too much seatpost showing.

Not what you wanted to hear I bet!

I registered on my laptop, cannot remember if I was asked for my Facebook log in. I know it did on the iPad, but I just logged in normally with my email and password I had set up.

As for watching on multiple devices I’m sure you can as my TV and iPad, show different things recently watched when I go to Netfix.

We’ve light green walls and a dark grey floor. Kind of charcoal grey according to MrsNero50.

    I’ve both.

XT on my Niner and Jones and Zee on my Mega. Both good. Did have the XTs on the Mega never felt under braked.

Reckon you’d be happy with either.

Shimano brakes are now my brake of choice, after running Formulas, Maguras and Hopes.

The last 2 cars I had were diesal. I’ve just moved back to a petrol.

Reasons were, at only 13,000 ish miles a year the cost of the diseal car over a petrol one, really weren’t worth it.

As above you really do need to do 20,000 miles plus per year to get the benifits.

Fuel consumption wise: Ford Kuga 4×4 around 35mpg diesal, Toyota Avensis Touring around 45 mpg diseal. Currently Subaru Outback 2.5l Auto around 30 mpg petrol. So with petrol 10p per litre cheaper, fuel costs are comparable and petrol cars do drive nicer.

Our 2 year old cocker still goes after deer if he sees them. But he is learning to give up the chase earlier. Sometimes if we catch his ready to chase pose we can get him in close, if we miss it and he goes, we don’t recall till his head comes up off the floor.

Don’t recall when the head is down and ass up. It’ll fall on deaf ears.

I second a good gundpg trainer. But I would say and this has been echoed by our trainer, let them be puppies first. At 11 months she’s still a pup!

Gorgeous dogs, you lucky people. Please feed them proper food and not that dry muck.

I’m intrigued by what you define as proper food? I wouldn’t class Orijen our boy gets as dry muck. It’s 80% meat and 20% veg.

    Oh if we’re doing pics.

    From this:

To this, just turned 2 in December

Mad as a box of frogs, but wouldn’t change him, never fails to do something crazy and make me smile. 😀

Oh, those Spaniel eyes. They know how to get what they want!!!

We’ve a Working Cocker and have found when we put him on rice (mixed with a small portion of his kibble) when he has the squits, it can take a few days to clear. We also keep him on the rice for a day or 2 once they clear up to make sure he’s nice and solid.

I would say based on the weights you quote he’s on about the right amount, you do want to cut it down a bit when they have dodgy tummies, so as not to make it worse.

I wouldn’t overly worry, if he’s acting normally (well as normal as a cocker can be), eating and drinking about the same as normal, give it a few days.

Ours always gets hungry when he has the squits, he’s been clearing his system, so is bound to be more empty and hungry.

I would change from Bakers though. We feed ours Orijen, but go with the best food you can. As a rule of thumb make sure the first 2 or 3 ingredients are meat and there is no grain.

    Shame it’s not a large.

As a rule if you can be bothered, splitting will yield more money, but it takes time and not everything will sell. So you could be left with odd bits.

As for values, get a idea from completed listings on eBay or the classifieds.

Had one. Rode well with 130mm DT Swiss forks. But had to sell to fund my Niner.

Not sure I’d have another, don’t miss it as much as the Marin Rocky Ridge I sold to fund it.

Cannot put my finger on it, wasn’t as good as I thought it should be.

Had our Bosch one, 8 years, absolutely no issues. We only bought it to match the other white goods. 😳

I don’t think at your budget there will be much in it.

Simmy, how good is he off a lead? If he’s ok, and generally has ok recall I would say give him a go.

If you are nervous try him round a park first. I wouldn’t have him on a lead attached to your bike.

We’ve a Spaniel so pretty much anything distracts him. The key is keeping them occupied. We cannot take it easy with ours, we have to keep him interested in the chase by always moving. If we stop he gets distracted and starts to wander off, pay attention to the smells around him.

Start with short distances to get him used to staying with you but out the way.

    Good luck.

As Golfchick says, the other options are more expensive and speeds not as good! Plus I signed up to increase my broadband speed next year for “free” so figured I’d suck it up.

Steviegil, keep her busy chasing you and she’ll do good!

Steviegil, we use an Acme 210.5 whistle. 2 pips for recall, 1 for sit (not got sit at distance yet). Ours went off recall for a few months, between about a year and a year and half. Trick was cut his food a bit and use a really high value treat as reward for recall. We use Orijeen treats.

As for chasing stuff as he’s got older he gives up quicker but still goes if you don’t notice the signs and get him close before he takes off.

Though, sometimes the best recall is no recall.

Obelix, great to see another Working Cocker with a tail.

We’ve a 2 year old Working Cocker, that we run with the bikes. Only done a few 12 miles or so with him as it is and it’s maybe only every couple of months.

We don’t feed him as such when we run him with the bikes, but he gets the odd treat and we carry a water bottle for him.

He generally runs on my back wheel, with MrsNero50 behind keeping an eye on him. He’s a bell on his collar so I can hear roughly where he is. He knows to stay away from wheels.

Got a 2.5l Petrol Auto Outback here. Get about 25 mpg round town, journeys of around 60 mile with out of town driving around 33 mpg and on a run from Yorkshire to Dorset at the weekend, got 39 mpg.

Knew it wasn’t going to be economical, but found the clutch on the manual far too heavy for my liking.

How does a dog get bored of food? If it’s hungry it’ll eat.

How many meals a day is your pup getting? Is it on 3/4 still?

If so could it be time to cut it down to 2 a day (am and pm)?

Ours went off his midday feed at about 4 months once he started getting his adult teeth. He’s never turned down his am or pm feeds though.

Spaniels are mental, Cockers or Springers can be just as mental there is no way of telling from seeing a pup or even the parents.

it doesn’t matter what breed you have, its how much time and the life you give it that determines a lot of their outcome and behaviours.

The above probably sums it up best.

I have a 2 year old Working Cocker, chilled when needed but also mental as they come when he’s given freedom to play/run around.

Don’t see how Spaniels aren’t suitable trail hounds though. They have speed and stamina (can keep a constant 20 mph on fireroads), yeah maybe not capable of much more than 10 to 15 miles at a time once old enough, but you shouldn’t run any dog for distances greater than that!

First frosts and hope for the mud to start to be frozen in the morning when waking the hound.

Also dark mornings and nights mean you rarely see people when walking the dog!

Yes I’m an unsociable so and so!
