Got our second Working Cocker when our first was four. Both males, our oldest didn’t want to be in the same room as the pup for first three weeks. Had the pup just over a year and now they play and get on. It takes time.

With a bitch already there is a risk that another bitch will give you more chance of scraps. Everyone we spoke too said bitches fight the worst. I’d get a dog in your situation.

I do agree Spaniel breeds are more likely to get on with other Spaniels. Though Vizlas are known to get on with Spaniels well too.

Mr Nero have you tried running with it

No, I dont run, it’s not too heavy, but do agree it is quite front heavy.

Regarding batteries, you can use recharge ones such as the Exposure ones available for the the Flare.

Alpkit Prism 550. At £39 for a claimed 550 lumens, I’ve taken a gamble as wanted a head torch for walking the dog.

so far seems good value and genuine output rating.

Gopro mount adaptor and then use any Gopro mounting option you desire.

My favourite picture of our WCS. Here at about a year old! Time flies with a Spaniel he’s nearly 4 now!

    Had a 58 plate 2 litre 4 wheel drive.

Drive shaft went after about 18 months, DPF went after about 3 years. Was about a grand to sort as just out of warranty.

Never got much more than about 35 mpg.

Really comfortable and if we hadn’t needed more room once we got the dog, we’d probably still have it.

Was never a massive fan of Gin, but recently started getting into it.

Went to the Gin festival in Leeds the other weekend, really liked Boxer and ish.

I’ve borrowed a a Six pack for a 24. Awesome light! I liked the spread of the beam and the fact it’s all one unit.

I’m not a fan of separate battery packs after using a six pack!

No, I have a bit of a problem with a charity asking for money ever year when they have £90 million in the bank!

It’s a noble cause but bloody hell that’s not just a few quid left over!!

I always go more light on bars. More fixed spread of light in the direction of travel of your bike.

Speed adjust to minimum. So slowest setting.

Spaniels are awesome. We’ve had ours for nearly 3 years, and he’s improving with age.

Be consistent, thats the biggest secret.

Also, regardless of what you hear about how to train one, the key is finding that little tweak that’ll work for you/your dog. They are all individuals.

Oh and probably the best advice I ever received for training our Working Cocker, was “Give him a job or something to do or the bugger will go self-employed.”

Yep, a Wocker would hit the spot! Nice hound, MrN. Not from North Hants by any chance? Looks very much like one I know.

Thanks Captain, no we’re in North Yorks.

    Hi pipiom,

    Thanks for the heads up.

I noticed the potential for cable rub, when building mine up. I’ve used a spare p-clip from the reverb routing and added as an cable guide to the ISCG mount to hold the gear cable away from the frame.

Not finished the build but hoping it’ll help.

Email Enve direct and ask if there is a weight limit. I got a quick response when I had a question about their stems.

Wasn’t the Cove because there were only 69??

I have a Trek 69er SS frame, loved it when it was built up but prefer my Jones more since I’ve gone 29er with all my bikes.

I resent buying helitape to prevent cable rub. I know I shouldn’t and it’s only a few quid. But surely with all the advances in technology why do bikes still suffer from cable rub?

Why would the PP address be wrong for a buyer? Thought addresses were all verified?

Though RM should have returned if it wasn’t delivered.

I paid around £40 all in with Parcel Force charge and duty on 4 x 35 mm rims.

I just waited till I got the letter from Parcel Force, paid on line and they were delivered the next day.

Working Cocker here. Awesome dogs, just keep them entertained. Walks, gundog training, agility and now he’s 2 and a half running with the bike.

MrNero- when did you order yours ? im patiently (really not) waiting for mine at the moment lol.

I ordered them mid may. Took, about 12 days to be dispatched, 3 days to get to the UK then about 8 days to clear customs and get delivered.

Thanks for the replies re: valves.

What length valves are people using with the 35mm rims, if they are running them tubeless?

Mine turned up on Friday and cannot wait to build them up.

Our working Cocker, Rufus. He loves running with the bikes. Here he is at Long Mynd, Shropshire at Easter this year. He has done Glentress and Grizedale.

Excuse the size I’ve cropped to photo.

    Have you tried raymears.com?

No it’s not a piss take. Not sure of the link to Ray but genuine outdoor/bushcraft site!

I’ve sent 2 recently by MyHermes. No problems. Didn’t drain and sent the bleed kits out too.

    Could be luck though.

Had an Avensis, the sat nav was excellent!

The Subaru I have now terrible in comparison!

So in short no trouble with the one I had. Was a 12 plate, so not sure if there are differences in years.

Mine came with a quick reference guide that was all I ever needed to use.

Sent frame with shock and returned some new Pikes to Merlin with Parcel force. No problems.

Ordered quite a bit from them. Always what shows as in stock on the website, always delivered quickly. Ok not as fast as Merlin but quick enough.

Ordered a Chris king singlespeed hub and the rear sprocket was different to size to that advertised. Emailed them, sent it back got a replacement. No bother.

I use them as they can be cheaper than the usual suspects.

So medium should be ok, but long maybe better.

    Thanks guys.
