Yeah totally this, it’s literally just down to local stock which there isn’t a place to find what people have left in. I’ve found an s5 in black and a S4 in clay :-(

Yeah, they seem to review really well. Just interested in actual owners views. That said, i can’t find a comp, black S4 anywhere

Oh, what made you change? I’m interested in how it compares? The enduro seems like an awesome bike, is the evo similar just not as bike park friendly? I seem to mainly ride steep and technical trails with a bit of racing and trans type races. Also, stock seems to be zero off the evo!

The more I read of this thread the more I realise how fortunate we were to grow up at that time. There may never be the opportunity for such a thing again, not in the way it was such a stark contrast, so simple but also so amazing and pioneering. Nights I remember were anything in the Hippo club, queuing up and the whole building was vibrating outside with bass. A night called The spice of life in Cardiff was amazing as a 16 year old sneaking in and being blown away by the size, noise and laser lights. Many a night where water was dripping from the ceiling from sweat. Good times. I miss the sound and feeling of heavy bass

Wife got diagnosed about 2 years ago at 40. Has had a few flair ups. Don’t read too much on forums as it seems for many it’s the end of their lives. Be prepared for lots of drugs each day and monthly (initially) blood tests. Drugs haven’t given her any bad effects but are quite full on. They’ve reduced RA to practically nothing but usually when colds come joint swelling comes with it. Has had a few steriods injections on swelled joints and a few courses of tablets. It’s a bummer as you don’t know what tomorrow will bring but so far it’s been ok. Drop me an email if it would help.

Bored bored bored of silverfish bashing. If you have a problem speak to them rather than moaning to the stw forum. Silverfish only get bashed because they actually respond and do something. All the crc and other distrubuters, do you ever get them replying on the forum? No, please move along and go and fix some servers or something

yeah its the flexyness thats the worry i think as i do like to rag the corners and i think that would get on my nerves. hmmmm! american classics any good? ive seen their all mountain wheels for around 350 quid

Ive found silverfish to be excellent bunch of people to deal with, they ride and are normal people. Every company gets stuff wrong but posting a reply on here shows they care even if it does feed the trolls. Too many people use stw to moan about stuff rather than taking that time to try and sort it out. I’m bored of the silverfish bashing, go pick on brant or something

yeah im exactly the same! Im quite fit at moment, riding bike generally 3 times a week but want to use the week to do extra exercise that i wouldnt normally have time to do with job etc. Im doing a 24 hour race solo in about 8 weeks time so want to keep up the training for that really

yeah, its a rather weird feeling, when i first noticed there was no signs it was happening and i actually wondered what was in my shorts, everything was completely numb! on the bike i have little issue, the saddle is rock solid so doesnt squich around. I think its the constant small vibrations thats making it numb

yeah, ive done that a few times it sorts it out only to return quite quickly afterwards

yeah ive tried with and without, wrists do hurt when pitched forward. With front raised i thought it might be raising the front of the saddle and therefore putting presure on. dropping the front may pitch me forward and again onto the front. perhaps i raised the front too high…

You know what I think I’ll walk away from this one your points -m- are very valid and I guess unless it was right on my doorstep it’s not worth the risk on a car of this price. STW coming to the rescue again!

Yeah I’m defo going to see it but just wondered if anyone was close to give it a once over n sound it out, Samuri are you close to Bolton? I think it’s off junction 5 of m61

Yeah good call on rac inspection… Decisions!

Yeah I think they have new ones in Cardiff Audi so am gonna book a test drive for comparison etc. I guess I don’t really fancy the drive to Bolton if the car isn’t a good example, think it’s about 3.5hours drive. It’s hard cus s3’s are quite rare + in white + low miles + right price + close by makes it even tougher. Am moving from an impress sti so should be more refined

yup, they/we meet at 730 at the lewis arms every wednesday. Good bunch of people that come out and a very wide range of bikes and abilities. Its a short ride that ends up in the pub up the road (black cock) for some food n beer at a bargain price of £2!

theres also a group that ride on a tuesday night from the bike shop in caerphilly but dont know about the details (i guess you can ring shop?)

Also a fair few riders on a sat morning if your free

    Good times!

I also really hope this doesnt turn into the usual STW bashing.

Mr Nutt I think its really refreshing to see such honesty, perhaps thats why the threads been quite mature!

Id echo what Xc-Steve has said, having just been along to an Alpha Course i think they are a good way to find out for yourself. They are of course run by people who believe what they say so there is a level of bias from that point of view but ive found that the hardest thing to argue with is peoples own experiences. I really enjoyed learning about people and their own journeys. It was a good place to help work things out in my own mind as to what i believe, or what id like to find out about more.

have fun, and try not to get too bogged down with stuff! Ride that bike.

but the seatpost is backwards? and the brakes are pointing up in the air? i cant see anyone who rides really setting up a bike like that? You may be right, it just stood out a little esp on a bike like that
