If you send the aerial feed to the sky box it will do that for you.

    @rob

Youre turning a bigger wheel with the same cassette, so effectively its a higher gear.

    e.g. a 34t front to a 34t rear on a 26 inch bike is 26.0 gear inches
    a 32t front to a 34t rear on a 29 inch bike is 26.2 gear inches

so for the same overall gear ratio on a 29 er as a 26er (with the same cassette) you need a smaller front ring.

    (thankyou Sheldon Brown)

I recently placed an order with them for a set of pro 2 hubs. They were the cheapest by far. After a week I rang, said they were waiting for a delivery form hope (said instock on website).

After almost another week I rang again to be told that hope were witholding stock from them as they were de-valuing the brand. Order cancelled and told a refund would be made.

At the same time a friend of mine had ordered a set of V4 brkes. His order was also cancelled.

I have had a set on my enduro for a couple of months now and Im still on the same bearings 🙂

However, the pins arent as grippy as DMR vaults and I found myself slipping a bit. (wearing 5:10’s)

Im going to change the pins to grub screws and see if its any better.

    safety sticker now removed 😛

I do like the reflective rim tape, though I have gone for a ‘semi-stealth’ approach.

The orange bits are the i-link boots, stops the chinking noise.

I had a bit slop around on a muddy hill last night, and lower is definatley better on the pressure front. 20 psi offered very little grip on a greasy climb, and a 36T front with a 34T on the back ring is too big for me. In the manual it says a 34 is the biggest that will fit, but a 36 on a truvativ stylo crankset fits.

There is a reason my kitchen floor is so clean, something to do with angle grinders and cold garages. 😉

Having a local ride out in the woods with the club tonight, I’ll see how it fairs against the regulars.

My hopes occasionally go spongy for no apparent reason. To remedy this I have to ‘align the pads’. There is a proper term for it but I can’t remember it right now.

Basically, have a look at your pads and how far they are off the disc. Use a screwdriver or similar to apply force to the piston/pad that is closest to the disc. Apply pressure to the lever. This will allow the pad/piston that is further from the disc to move independently. It will stay there and you will have a solid lever again.

If you have a look on YouTube there is a video put up by hope that describes this. ‘Bleeding tech lever’ but I find its relevant.

If the scheme is anything like our current scheme, nothing.

The final payment you have to make to transfer ownership wipes out pretty much all the savings you make over the course of the year.

Our scheme has a final payment of 25% of the purchase cost if the initial purchase cost is over £500.

Im better off buying online. YMMV

I used to use skin so soft and it worked ok for me, still got the odd one though.

Using Smidge now, its working well, and has a bonus of not smelling as strongly.

I had a 4 yr old vito a while back, the 112. It was awful.
Noisy, crap gearbox, started to rust, propshaft failed, massive electrical gremlins and drove like a van. Had 60k on it with FSH.

I now have a LWB Renault traffic crew cab. Sits 6, (although the front middle seat is a little cramped) and swallows 6 bikes and kit with ease. It will take 4 bikes without removing wheels.

Drives like a big car, low to mid 30’s on diesel, quiet and comfortable.

I blacked the windows and stuck one big wheels on. Looks canny IMO.

When my triad stuck down I had a go at fixing it myself broke it.

I replaced it with a stock RP23, think the stroke was a wee bit longer than the triad, I didnt have any issues with it. 2008 model.

I finished last year, have done more riding this year and prepped the bike better (IMO) and feeling a bit ‘niggly’

Just got the bar ends to fit and Im sorted.
