Another white room fan here. Been the last 2 years and already provisionally booked for next year.

We drove this year. Had a couple of extra days as a result.

Superb guiding on superb trails. Enough variation to cater to every skill level. I personally wouldnt like to do it on a hardtail though.

@Marin – no issues with the food this year from our group 🙂

I did the trans-provence for my 40th. It was the most amazing week Ive had on a bike so far.

Wife and kids flew out the week after for a relaxing time in a lovely house in the middle of nowhere.

Did the trip in May, months away from the actual day, but I’ll remember it for ever 🙂

    YorkshireRipper +1 again.

I met a right good bunch of people over the last couple of years ‘racing’ UKGE, mainly due to the way its set up. Always seem to be the same faces around you in the transitions, and plenty time to ride with your mates too.

Normally Im a bit anti-bose, but I am another happy soundlink mini owner.
Rather pleasant sound from such a small box.

Version 2 you can charge via the USB port on the side.

Reading the thread it seemed familiar. Got to the ‘built not bought’ sticker and then I twigged.

MrsLugz and me have done a few of these

Insanity is exactly that. Proper hard work if you go all out. 5 days a week for an hour, handy plan to keep tabs on yourself. The diet is pretty strict, but well varied and enough to keep you going. I lost a load of weight and almost got a six pack.

You will find yourself muttering Shaun T’s catchphrases 🙂

T25 is a shorter, more laid back version. Still not easy.

Hip Hop abs is loads cheaper, half hour workouts more like a dance session.

Much better to do it as a team, even if the neighbours do think you’re mental. (we have no blinds in our conservatory.)

I changed mine a couple of years back. Got it from tf tuned with the evo linkage kit.

It made a huge difference to its descending prowess. I’m running a 450lb spring as im on the heavy side.

It’s had an impact on climbing though. It’s harder work.

    Love it 🙂

I took a box full away last year, they removed half of them. (6)

Got called to the front of the queue and everything.

This year a friend of mine took a box away and they all got there.

    I just had a couple.

got mine plated when it snapped about 4 years ago.

Got a mild infection treated with antibiotics, and it was strong pretty much straight away.

I now have issues wearing a seatbelt as it presses on the plate and is uncomfortable on long trips.

I also get issues with certain rucksacks.

    And airport security. 🙂

    We have 2 showers.

One runs off the combi (an old worcester 240 IIRC), one is a 9Kw electric.

We get more pressure out of the combi fed one.

When I get round to renewing the bathroom, the electric one will be getting replaced by a combi fed one.

I bought that one for my alps trip last week.

Comfy enough, lightweight, good vis but a bit sweaty when pedalling as I found out in the ‘nocturne des ruelles’ race in Bourg on friday night 🙂

    Havent crash tested it yet.

The middle visor screw is a bit fiddly.

I have something very similar. But I have a ‘floaty’ bit of something on the tip of my elbow. Every so often I catch it wrong and its a searing pain. Showed the doc who said they wouldn’t do anything with it.

too much risk for too little gain apparently.

Ive got a couple of pairs of relatively expensive headphones, (akg550, shure se535)and I also have a set of skull candy hesh. Paid about 30 quid for them and they sound perfectly acceptable direct from an idevice.

Can wear them for a few hours before it gets too sweaty. Pop along to any pcworld/currys and plug in. you may well be pleasantly surprised.

I’ve ran a renault trafic ll29 crew bus for the last 4 years. Six seats, bulkhead, swallows bikes and kit, 30+ mpg and nice to drive.

issues – wiper stalk broke, and suspension strut bearings needed replacing after 40K

I had bother with the BBB ones. Didn’t fit very well.

Since that Ive used the Aest ones of eBay. no issues to report, other than the little holes filling up with gunk.

And they look good too 🙂

Whats the fastest food in the world?

    Scone.

Two monkeys in a bath, one goes “oo oo ah ah oo ah”

Other one goes “put some cold in then!”

We based ourselves here last year
    http://www.chaletsdirect.com/larosiere/hotel_la_roz.htm

We had guides from the local hire shop who where great.

Rode Les Arcs, Tignes, La rosiere and had a trip across to Italy.

Was awesome. Going back this year 🙂

I’m onto the second pint of my first brew kit.

It’s the nicest pint I’ve ever ‘brewed’ myself.

I have no yardstick of course.

I did the kielder 100 in 11and a bit hours

I did the 104 mile Northern rock cyclone in just over 6.5 hours.

Was quite a bit fitter when I did kielder, so I think the 2 and a bit to 1 ratio is a reasonable baseline.

It has been brewing quite merrily for the last 4 weeks in my back room.

Its my first foray into homebrew. 🙂

Using a Thule 2bike on MrsLugz’s Jetta. Swan neck towball, still painted, rack hasnt fallen off yet.

Neither has the caravan come to think of it.

If it bothers you, you could always take the paint off and get a towball cover.

I got the CRC one. been away 3 times. Customs pulled the zip tab off, and baggage ‘handlers’ managed to crack one of the rails off the bottom.

First trip out I got a bent disc (lesson learned) other than that no damage……

Bike is a Large Spesh Enduro and it just fit in.

For side mount on a full face use the helmet mount for a normal trail helmet.

Pass the nylon straps around the chin piece, they will overlap, andthread them through the clamp.

Rock solid mount and a great view.
shamless plug of me riding, feel free to mock 🙂 and if you watch allthe way/ skip to 5m 10s you see how sturdy the mount is….

I found the vxi elements to be a bigger fit than other 5:10’s I have. They are definitely 100x more moisture resistant than standard ones(not a scientific measurement) and I prefer the standard sole. YMMV.

Not as comfy as others due to less padding, and I don’t think they will last as long. They just feel ‘different’.

On my Enduro I run M4/X2

200 front, 180 rear. Been ample for me including uplifts at the alps.

I have X2’s on my whyte 109, they are more than adequate for most situations, but I have had them out of their depth a couple of times, probably due more to my mincing than the capabilities of the brakes though. 180/160 discs.

The only ‘issue’ Ive had with them is once or twice the front M4 has gone off a bit. A quick piston re-alignment sorts them out.

Normally not an issue. Only 9 miles ew and I do it whatever the weather.
At least I did until an off last Friday on the way home. Big hole in knee, ruined tights, shredded jacket, smashed light. Fortunately I didn’t get run over too.
On the bus for now and it takes practically twice as long.

I never look out of the window in the morning. That helps.
