    Warrantied no issue.

Ever heard the saying “pics or it didn’t happen”?

    Will a witness statement do?

    🙂

My last set of freeriders (vxi elements) fell apart after less than 5 months of weekend use. 5:10 replaced them FOC, but i think the quality of them has plummeted in last couple of years.

I also have a set of impacts, much sturdier shoe and better built all round.

My next riding shoes will be 2fo’s

    my 2p 🙂

There is a chipshop in Wallsend does what we affectionately call a ‘dirty burrito’

It consists of a 12″ flour tortilla wrapped around a large helping of donner meat, a scoop of ‘chicken’ tikka, a potrion of chips and a layer of garlic (or chilli) sauce.

Mostly you dont eat for the rest of the day.

My 11 dropped all its oil out after 3 trouble free regularly serviced years. Some seals were replaced but ever since I cannot get the gears indexed right. No immediately apparent damage to the innards either.

Makes them a bit harder to nick, although they all have manual lowering controls, if you know the machine, you know how to do it. Can take ages, on certain models you just pull a plunger.

Personally, my limitied experience would suggest you shouldnt leave them upright as they all have maximum safe limits for use in wind. (generally 12 m/s). Any sudden high winds could damage them.

The music is always too loud.

Tidy means the cupboards are an Indiana Jones style trap.

The diary (theotherjonv – that struck far too many chords)

Unless it involves bikes or vehicles, Im not in charge.

rewind it fully one way, then pull a bit of the leader tape out and flip it 180 degrees. manually wind the loop back in with a pencil (or something) ensuring the actual tape gets flipped.

    that should work.

I have a mobiwash that did something similar. Started blowing fuses.

I stripped it down and found a bearing on the pump almost seized. Cleaned it it, greased it and its now working again.

Insides arent complicated, get your screwdrivers out 🙂

Another ex-office HP laser user here.

Print quality is good enough for everything we do, havent needed to replace anything in 18 months of ownership. Had a low yellow warning for about 3 months now, says it has <1000 pages left.

Will have a go at refilling when its empty, or use compatibles.

I hope you took into account the other parties tolerance levels and mass. Be unfair if you got a bigger hit because you were less of a user.

It was a long time ago, but bitter experience would suggest that you should get her name removed from the mortgage as a start. I didn’t do it at the time and it cost me in the long run.

Im on call 1 week in 4 for 7 days.

My on call allowance works out at £1.23 p/h

If I get called, I get the time back in lieu.

If Im called during the night, its generally a 12 hour break between finishing the call and going in to work the next day. Depends on the nature of the callout.

Only way to be sure is to do a long ride on one.

Have a look at the Fizik website, they do a rough guide to the type of butt you have – type of seat recomendation.

    Very worthwhle contacting Whyte/Local dealer.

My M109 did exactly the same thing, out of warranty, they replaced the chainstay.

I do know that the early versions, while not being prone to it, did snap there. Later versions have a fillet weld running up the chainstay from the brake mount. This is the case for the M109, may be worth checking for yours.

I’ve been a bit fat curious since I had a brief spin on an on-one fattie back in 2012. I recently had the chance of a long term demo on a Scott Big ed.
    My thoughts were –
    Its slower almost everywhere.
It will climb almost anything if you can hang on.
I never want to get another puncture in one.
A lot more capable on steep stuff than I initially thought it would be.
I would have one if I could get one cheap enough.
I was properly beaten up by it 🙂

We had decorative gravel for a good few years before we got it block paved.

Dig it out, drop some dolomite in, cover with decorative.

We did spend a bit of time sweeipng to top back on, but it looked ok (IMO) and was very cheap.

Block paved now, been down for around 10 yrs, Had a LWB renault trafic on it until last year, now has a LWB converted Boxer on it. No sgging to report.
