I have just ordered a small beinn 20 for the youngest. Although its gone up to 299 from 249, its now free delivery and they come with kenda small block 8’s. IIRC that means its only 18 quid more once you factor in a knobbly tyre change and delivery.

If you happen to be based near Newcastle at all, you are more than welcome to borrow mine.

Some campsites I have been on have a local RCD that you have access to, some haven’t. I have had the unfortunate experience of tripping the campsite supply, requiring the night warden to be roused to re-instate it. To say he wasn’t best pleased would e an understatement. 😳

I cant vouch for them personally unfortunately.

I have found the one I bought though

    link

and can vouch for it as a well made piece of kit.

I bought a single socket RCD hook up from my local caravan place. It had a very short lead, but it made it cheaper. Was about £25 IIRC. Then you could plug a standard 4 gang into it.

Or there is this (ebay lnk – not mine)

Never had a complaint about them, or even a one break. Been in service for over 2 years.

My traffic made a similar noise. On mine there are bearings in the top mounts of the struts that rotate within a big rubber bush. The bearings had collapsed and the rubber was winding the springs up.

    Maybe something similar?

Hand made cards, pair of 5:10’s, some Durham brewery ale, a massive toblerone and a ride out at Glentress.

Pooped now, so best crack one open while the Mrs makes tea 😈

Happy fathers day to all the fathers

From what I have read onone tend be either crap or brilliant with no middle ground, then again you don’t normally go shouting about average service you receive…

Hopefully I’ll get the latter and be sorted by Tuesday.

    Cheers!

Its the long chainring style ones that I have…..

From what I can tell, its a similar style of bolt/nut combo, just bigger and with the nut already bonded in.

    Cheers STATO,

though that means I now have to wait until Monday for a response and I was really looking forward to a bit of ‘quiet time in the garage’ playing with spanners and stuff…

oh well, the steel one gets another ride 😛

If anyone knows what size the new style bolts are, and where I may be able to obtain some on a Saturday, it’d be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

I came off a while back and stripped a canny bit of bark off the side of my calf.

My advice would be to not use Boots spray on skin stuff as the pain I went through after spraying it on was about 5x worse than the crash…

Don’t know if its the same setup, but when I stripped the rear end of my 2011 anthem down, nothing was stuck together.

I took the eldest (12) fr his birthday with a few of his mates just last night. They had a few squeals between them, I though it was garbage.

No real fear or tension, just the odd ‘boo’ linked to a loud burst on the soundtrack and a quick camera cut.

    They liked it though.

Thanks to all the organisers, marshalls, and anyone else that made it happen.

Had a cracking ride, only off twice (one an OTB moment as a bloke on a cx decided to stop dead in front of me :P)

Struggled on the field up to MTFU hill, and struggled to get clipped back in having clogged cleats.

Would loved to have hung round and met up with the guys off here, but I struggled to get the van out the bottom carpark even though I left immediately after I finished.

Finished 52nd and well happy with that.

Mine Is Alun with a ‘u’

That’s how I have to say it everything it’s taken down by someone.

Call centre staff tend to call me aloon.

Some call me Al, some call me Alun, some call me lugz.

Didn’t like it as a kid, teachers used to ‘correct’ my spelling of it.

I wanted to be a Jason back then, before the Donovan bloke.

I had one last Sunday, IMO it’s about as hot as a vindaloo from my regular curry emporium.

    Very tasty though.
