Mr grim arbroath high – denis arnott mtbing biology teacher . Keith ritchie was the lad that said id be a failure…..

    Mr grant the bball coach

WOW! Very small world. Yeah, right on all three counts, except I'd forgotten about "bazza" Ritchie and never really spoke to him. Mr Grant is now retired I think and last I heard from my Dad, Dennis is running a landscaping business in his retirement.

It was Mr Grant that encouraged me to get back into running at school. I think he spotted my lanky potential

    I left in 2001.

People at my school fell into two camps; Those that were good at basketball and those that weren't. Basketball players got extended lunches, got to turn up late to other classes and pretty much had the run of the school which some people find weird as it was a high school in a relatively small town in Scotland.

I always liked mountain biking and was good at XC running, which is the same as now except XC running has been swapped for fell running.

My biology teacher was ace and a keen mountain biker. I remember at the end of term MBR had just come out and issue 1 had a free video. Everyone else in the class was pissed off as me and the teacher sat and watched MTB videos whilst everyone else sat bored :)

I started off rebelling in years 1-3 then had got a boot up my arse in 4th year and got my standard grades then highers, but was definitely another of the "has potential, just fails to show it" and coasted by with pretty average grades.

I use copilot on my Magic (Android 1.6) and it works fine. Extremely useful.

I guess it also depends on where you want your flat advertised. Solicitors are mainly on ESPC, whereas the estate agents are on Rightmove

cool, I've heard Drummond Miller are ok, not sure on costs though.

If you're looking for a solicitor to deal with the paperwork, I recommend Willie McGregor in Kirkcaldy. I've used him a few times and he's a good guy who gets the job done at a good price.

If you're looking for a valuation, you're better ringing round a few estate agents to get an idea of valuations. I just sold my house and took the average of three valuations to get the price to put it on the market.

Undercover investigation into the llama crime ring

You mean llamas disguised as alpacas?

Thanks everyone for the help. From the above, I can be sure that they are definitely 2004/05 Teams.

    MrGrim

On further checking, they are possibly 2004 SID Teams as they have the climb it control. Might email SRAM to be sure.

Hmm, on checking ebay, tinterweb etc they seem to be Race

Slogo – That depends on the verions. Did they do Race, World Cup and Team versions back then?

I had a 2004 2.0 TS2 Estate. It was a nice car, quite nippy and not too bad on fuel. They have a known issue with clutch judder when cold. The back seats folded flat and could be triggered by a handle at either side of the back of the boot which was quite cool.

They do not have the height at the back like the Mondeo or Passat which was my main issue. I could get two bikes in the back with the front wheels and seatposts off. 20" frames and 26" wheels. Could probably have fitted more at a push.

Benefits of the TS2 were mainly the six cd Bose stereo and the cruise control was good.

Great effort. It doesn't matter if someone has run 200 miles or biked around a park, it's all about scale. He's seven years old and cycling 5 miles. I think it's brilliant and for a great cause.

I wonder if Justgiving will take their cut?

Timing belt on my 2003 1.9TDI was at 60k.

I wouldn't say 100k would be tired as long as it has a FSH and has been looked after. Also look at the different power versions. I think there was 100, 115 and 130 bhp versions.

Excellent fuel economy. I got between 55-60 mpg on mine (100bhp version)

+1 for the current shape 1700 1.3 CDTI Combo, although it might be over your budget.

Mine has only been owned privately. It's a 2006 (06)Bought it with 22k on the clock, FSH, Tax+MOT, new tyres and has the bench seat conversion by these guys. It's only required the usual consumables and does 50-55 mpg with a full load in the back. It's also got the industrial roof rack which is ace for more bikes or luggage. Cost £3,700 (about 9 months ago). Great wee vans.

I don't have a 4×4, but have a grippy van with a tow rope. I'm 10 minutes away and could help tonight. Email in profile.

Which hill was it, the one passed the barrier heading to the lower car park at the beach?

Light dusting in Fife this morning, but mainly ice. Now in the centre of Edinburgh and there's hardly anything. Heading to Glasgow in a bit where I'm expecting the same.

Can you not get a micro-atx board and fit it in an atx case? Or do you need the expansion?

I run straight out of the door and run half the time (with others) along gravel and flat muddy singletrack, but when I go out on my own I run along the coastal path or along the slippiest filthiest trails I can find to keep me interested and grip is massively important, but I run for about 5-10 minutes per run on the road so a bit of give would be nice. When I'm at home I go out on the moors with them.

If your across from Kingdom Runners, I take it your in St Andrews? I run the coastal path quite a bit and can't think of any parts that would need anything more than trail shoes. Walsh PB's and the like would be a bit overkill IMO. Although your close to Largo Law, so get some PB's or some Swoops and get fell running :-) Much more fun than the coastal path!

    MrGrim

What kind of terrain are you running on? If it's road running go for a road shoe, if it's trail running go for an trail/XC shoe, or if it's fell/hill running, go for a fell shoe.

I would class your NB's as trail shoes, whereas the swoops above are more fell/hill shoes and won't offer the support that trail or road shoes will.

Run4it are pretty good and have shops in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Achilles Heel are also good guys.

There's a place in Cupar as well, but I've never been in, just driven past.
