I have a niner emd, with on one forks. Rides well and I can run 35mm cx tyres or 2.25 29er tyres. Does everything I want it to do, and it’s quick, quicker than my cx bike on everything apart from tarmac

I’d be calling Target Composites. Saved my mates totally snapped in half Road frame, cost less than 700 quid too…have a look at thier work on FB, I’ll be sending my cracked ibis tranny there soon.

And my bird configuration came in at £1400…. apart from the dropper

I’ve had the bird zero am, with xfusion slants and slx for about ten weeks now, went back from a Jekyll and I honestly love it. Really doesn’t feel that much different apart from The bird climbs better and handles quicker due to a small rear triangle. Super slack and very comfy. I actually quicker on some twisty dh’s than on the Jekyll. I’m within a second or so of all my other dh pb’s. Very capable bike. Mines and xl too (6ft 3″) and it’s feels very playful and not gate like at all. Customer service is top notch too. The bike came properly built, spokes tensioned, all cables adjusted etc, only had to straighten the bars. Just had to put a dropper on and went for the brand x. 10 weeks in and about 250-300 miles it’s still perfect! Best value ever.

Considered a crush /p7 too, but value wise they’re not great…

Brave move for a company to bring out such an expensive/overpriced(?) frameset when the trend for direct to consumer bikes is gaining ground! Doubt it’ll be a big seller!

I’ve had a good experience too. Bought my old Jekyll off them, and it was very well put together. Better than most bike shops I’ve used!

Yup, re-tape and tighten the valve. That’s the rim sorted. Up to you what you do with the tyre. Personally I’d swap it out for a non damaged one.

Love my zero am. Different frame I know, but the company have been great and the bike itself is top quality. Just for those plus points, I’m thinking about getting an aeris later in the year.

I adjusted my gx clutch with a large Allen key (8mm?), just a turn or two and it’s fine now. Just lever the plastic cap off and go steady.

Niner emd, carbon rigid fork with 1×10. 32t up front and 11-40 in the rear. 38mm G-ones set up tubeless….flat bars and bar ends!!! With a camelback so I can carry everything I might possibly need!!

This concerns me a bit as I’m about to get one of these! All the reviews seem positive, apart from a few who have set up issues. Knowing my luck I’d definitely have set up issues….

Aye, I think I’ll enter that! That pig of a road climb up from Edale to Mam Tor almost puts me off! Hate that climb!!!

Yeh I like the performance a lot, just seems odd to have plastic threads on the lever!? Oh well, might be time to switch back to trusty slx

I’m in the same boat, I’m considering mavic crossrides, seem to be pretty robust and a decent weight

Nah, the first version were rubbish I.e the soles. Since then they’ve been good. Had mine for 12 months, 3+ rides a week and no issues so far. Great shoes.

The 15 days is absolutely standard, and it’s a Royal Mail thing, not a carbon cycles thing. So yeah, as above, a bit unreasonable. They’re offering you an option to change/refund your order. No problem here in my eyes.

Just spoke to iride, very helpful nice guy, but apparently they’ve never heard of the creaking issue! Odd since mines been back one with creaking, and two more people I know have done the same!

I don’t get how people have issues with tubeless. I’ve been running it for 5 years now, on 3 bikes. The only issue I’ve ever had has been the odd ripped tyre.

Just use proper rim, proper valves, a proper TL tyre and a decent pump or compressor if you’ve got one…maybe I’m. Just lucky!

Aye mines from the first batch, been sent back last October after 6 months of use, it’s now creaking like a pig again, so I’ll be sending it back after Ard Rock. Iride are a bit slow, but it got serviced/sent back eventually.

Successfully/easily fitted a sram x0 double grip shift to act as a dyad remote last night. 5 minute job and it works perfectly!

You’ll love it, I wish I’d sprung the extra few quid on the carbon 2, you’ll easily get it below 30lb!

P.s. Slight hijack…..anyone using a front shifter as a dyad remote? Apparently it’s dead easy to to do?

    MrCrushrider

I’m 6ft 3 and ride and xl J3, its great for an all day ride, but plenty nippy enough if I want to hoon about. I could probably have gotten away with a large, but i wanted the extra space for big rides.

It’s around 31lbs with a few changes I’ve made, but I’ve been climbing up technical stuff in the peaks quicker than on my ibis tranny. It pedals very well and doesn’t feel, anywhere near as heavy as it is. I fully recommend one.

I’ll get it easily below 30lb when I change the wheels and go 1×10, plus the usual tarty changes!
