Better not be the house I’m trying to get!

Although it seems like a game and estate agents are a bunch of *?#*-wits I would just put another offer in for for much you are prepared to pay for the house. You don’t want to get into a bidding war with someone else.

Am I right in thinking you want a biomass boiler as a ‘back burner’ which would be pretty hard to get at? Would this not be a nightmare to clean/service? How are you getting your wood chip or pellets into the boiler?

Would you need a buffer vessel for your solar panels assuming they are for the hot water? Have you considered any plant space?

Ground source heat pumps are pretty expensive due to the civil work involved unless your digging the place up anyway.

Not sure how it effects domestic stuff but check out the renewable heat incentive.

I have life assurance but no critical illness cover through work.

Bike bits aren’t too bad these days, I’ve gone through that stage and now have most of the stuff I want. If I need a new rear mech then I just wont go out that weekend.

Would try to get a 5 year fixed for added security.

I get life insurance through work – I presume this covers the mortgage stuff?

£160 a month of food is reasonable – cooking from scratch. I used to spend £35 a week when I rented a few months ago.

Maybe there should be a thread for dodgy adverts like the ones mentioned here to people can check to see if their stolen bike is on. Just links to adverts and no arguing – might be hard

We’re going to France (Nice) so doubt the customer service will be of that level.

MMmmmm, should I pack another board for off piste? Tignes tomorrow and don’t want to wreck my brand new one on the first day.

Currently saving about £1000 a month but I’m living with my parents in the sticks and trying to buy a house. I put £500 into saving at the start of the month then what ever is left at the end of the month. I’m finding not having a social life (or paying rent) saves me a lot of cash!

I’m this new toy with me on Sunday to Tignes, weather is looking very nice!

Evoc for me. Had a Mule and Raptor 18 and the Evoc is the most comfortable with the bonus of a back protector. Osprey has better features though.

My mate had an RS4 Avant but sold it after less than a year due to running costs – it drank petrol more than his 911 GT3 but was insanely fast.

Low (19mm) on my 160mm full suss, feels much better than the previous 38mm rise for cornering.

I can’t believe Bazoom is still going in Tignes, might have to pay that a visit in two weeks time.

My Tignes top tip would be to avoid the off piste above the lake to the side of Trolles – death trap.

Any Burton AK 2 , hot days cold days, fashion proof, and gloves under sleeves

+1, especially about the gloves! Burton Jackets come up big so might want to size down.

If you have time ebay from the US could save you a lot of money.

No Burton bindings come with 4×4 plates as well as their own 3 hole versions. Easy to get hold of if they don’t. The 4×4 ones aren’t padded though.

Not sure if the carte neige covers equipment and holiday companys messing up etc. Snocard seems to be £140, Insure and Go £45.

Burton P1.1 here – so comfy, adjustable and lifetime guarantee. Very easy to get spares in any resort. The prophecy looks like the new version.

    Salomon bindings are nice too.

Ebay (especially from the US) is very good for bargains.

I used to get a bad rash when I wet shaved my face but switched to Wilkinson Sword razer which was must better than the Mach 3 I was using at the time (4+ years since my last wet shave though).

Just bought the same as the OP was looking at but from the sony shop with the 2 years warranty. I’m pretty sure it will be fine for her and will be nice to use.

Agree about the sony software – I took most of mine off.

Ive had a sony for 4 years and no problems. Its was slightly more expensive than similar offering from Dell, Acer etc but I think the extra money is worth it due to how nice the sony is to use.

My sister bought the same model a few months later and hers broke a year later. I think it was due to overheating and the graphics card was fried but probably due to using it in bed and the duvet covering the vents.

I’d buy another one but have a look at lenovo website – dad has one and its very nice.

I think ebay has some good deals for covert frames – think they are from bike shops just using ebay to sell some old(ish) stock.

    160, 150 or 140 up front?

If 160mm I’d go for the Covert but I’m biased :D

I had the same thought the other night but, and its a big but: What else would I want to do?

I think that is my main problem is the things I want to do are unlikely to be be achievable whilst maintaining the lifestyle I want.

I feel the same way about my job. I only really work hard when I need to and normally leave things until there is a bit of pressure as nothing else motivates me. Hard to find another job in the industry at the minute and am happy with the pay but the atmosphere at work is terrible.
