Don’t need granny on a road bike.

Stick it all bar £10k onto the mortgage and live a better lifestyle due to the lower monthly repayments.

I have a high volume can on a Transition Covert and don’t rate it for my weight (13 stone) and aggressive riding. I’ve just fitted a volume spacer and it feels better.

Covert is warranted for 170mm forks I believe….

I have RS Lyrik Solo RC2DH on mine set at 160mm – seem to do the job.

NFU – probably not the cheapest but very good.

As a buyer I imagine it would be a complete pita to deal with an online estate agent as normal ones are bad enough!

Commencal seem to have lost there way in the UK since the importer changed. Don’t hear much about the Meta AM and now the Athertons are on GT the media coverage is limited.

Big shame imo as the 2007 Meta 5.5 I had never failed to put a smile on my face. In the end it cracked but I don’t blame poor manufacturing as it had a hard life and broke after a fairly big crash.

    I miss my Commencal

Think they are a few years old.

From what I remember its basically two climbs, the second of which is harder. After the first section on spooky woods its worth riding/pushing back up to do it again.

The blue from the bottom of the bike park to the cafe is great fun too.

I’m going in October with a bunch of mates. Never been before and want to do mainly uplifted riding so booked the AM week. Will I be better off in a full face or xc lid?

I didn’t think you were meant to loose travel either, was going to buy some today but might hold off.

I’ve only had my wheels trued by Moonglu but they did a very good job – highly recommend them.

Look at Shimano. I’ve tried M4s on my mates bike and whilst they felt nice they were not powerful. I’m a big fan of Hope stuff but just not their brakes.

I’ve got a couple in the past few years but just the odd 2-3%. In that time I have been promoted and taken on more responsibility and I’m going to ask for another payrise at my next review in the summer.

R&R extreme – excellent but need to apply every ride. Squirt is good for dry conditions.

Squelching/sucking noise. Feels gritty for the first few mm of the stroke and compression damping doesn’t seem as effective. Already spoken to Mojo (its under warranty) but want to double check before I sent it off.

DO you still not need to complete pretty quick though?

Seatpost clamp, or seat – solved mine.

I just rang Loco and will be getting some volume spacers for mine – seems like the simplest of solutions.

Yeah as above – I’m going to get some volume spacers for my rp23 as the high volume can isn’t good for my weight!

Very capable bike and fine for xc, trail centres and light DH. I have a 2011 and just put a 10mm bolt through rear on – seems a bit stiffer.

I got mine from 18 bikes who were very helpful – get one, you wont be disappointed!

I’m glad my post didn’t turn out like this

Mojo told me that if the squelch, gritty feel is just in the first few mm of travel then it probably just needs riding to get the oil flowing again after been sat around. If its the whole stroke then its cavitated and Mojo will repair under warranty.

I have the same problem (another thread one here). It seems to be more common than it should be and maybe Fox should issue a statement. I’m not overly impressed with the RP23, even when it worked – my old Float R was much better.

Hopefully Mojo will put mine right.

Why did you take it to TF Tuned after 40 hours riding? Was it out of warranty?

Just rang MOJO – very helpful. Said it might be because the shock has been sat unused for a few months and just to ride it and see if it got better.

If not then they said sent it in. Happy either way as can now ride on sat.

If this problem reoccurred is it a design issue with the shock?

By fiddled I mean tried to get the sag right as even with 220psi it blows through its travel very quickly. Its on a Covert frame if that makes any odds.

I don’t really want to take it apart myself but pretty annoyed about having to send it back.

    What’s cavitation?

    Yep work for me.
