Try Real Cycles, very helpful – they send me a free linkage bolt when i bent mine. I think those linkage plates are expensive though so £90 could be right!

What size are you guys riding? I’m a shade under 6 foot and generally prefer a slightly (but not too much) smaller bike.

Sounds like a palava. Imagine it would work quite well to make the meta a bit more DH orientated for alps trips.

Hopefully the X9 shifters I’ve got on the way should enable me to put the shifters on the outside of the brakes for easier shifting and one finger braking.

Just experiment till you find what works for you. I think its also worth trying one finger braking – much more control once you get used to it.

Good band, Class album. Accent makes it more interesting for me.

I’ve got three pairs of royal shorts – Sub, function zipper and the race shorts. Function zipper by far the best all round shorts. Baggy but nice fit.

    Hi there

Thanks for all the responces. Managed to borrow an old mtb guide book from a lad at work so going to check out a ride that starts in shadwell tomorrow. Not sure what it will be like but may as well give it a go since I can easily cycle to the start.

I’ve been looking on the North Leeds MTB site and forum to try and tag along to a ride but a lot of their rides seem to be near bingley and a bit out the way of north leeds (i live in chapel allerton).

Done the middlesmoor ride several time – good ride and some great views on a nice day. Whats the route back to lofthouse from the shooting house? I’ve always stayed on the bridleway (via a very short road section)and then dropped down into ramsgill and back onto the road to lofthouse.

Did the Syfydrin trail on saturday and dispite a fair bit of ice I thought it was excellent. Good mix of singletrack and XC with views, nothing very technical but well worth a visit.

Just wish it was closer to me!

I like my A200 and at the time (not sure about now) it seemed the best option for the money I had. I thought about getting the A300 with the liveview but I dont miss not having it at all. Faster burst shots would be nice but I think the stated 3 per second is pretty accurate.

I’m a novice but the photos it produces seem very good and the only times is produces bad shots are when I try and fiddle with the settings!

If they are the same price I would prob get the Nikon though but would highly recommend the A200 for a budget SLR.
