If that was the reason surely all brakes would do that.

Do it, you wont look back.

I ride 100% of the time, even on the commuter with one finger braking.

I went for the Strikes mainly on price and actually find them pretty good. I only use them commuting 7 miles a day though. My inner moves a bit but not annoyinly so.

Wont be using it for work.

    Purly texting, phoning, interneting.

My main worry about the iPhone is the durability and battery life.

Wouldn't be paying the extra £90 for the "s" either

I find snowboard/ski/hiking socks with Gore Over socks (not over shoes) work really well.

Becasuse everywhere you look on the net tell you to cut it dead square. Plus I'd rather not smash my face into the stem if it all goes wrong.

    £6? Where from?

I've never tried Hopes but read a lot of user reviews before splashing out £300 on brakes.

I went for Saints and dont regret it one bit (12.3 stone, not that lardy just a pretty hardcore rider).

    Saints.

I looked into Hopes as they are far and away the best looking brake out there but too many reports of lack of power. Had Formula K18, great brake while they last but the internals are made of soft cheese.

Compression damping setting on the pushloc? Dail it in to take up the slack in the wire.

It is to be reconnected (shoudl have been done by now). No tape used – will do that myself when I get home.

Nice one, changing frames is proving more expensive than I thought!

Deore Crankset comes with BB I think "dusty trails".

Anyone know if there will be a significant weight difference between my olf M440 and a new deore crankset.

How do I know what axle length it is?

So its just a threaded rod (10mm?), two nuts, two big metal washers and 2 nylon washers to make it easier to turn?

Read the jist of it – sounds pretty pathetic on both sides (not you, your wife). Just go round and sort it out. Posting on bike forums probably wont help.

I saw that note! I have just tried a 27.2mm post off my other bike – very stiff to get it in so presume 26.8mm is the one to go for. Thanks for the other sizes.

2010 metas are made in a different factory. Zestys are just the new commencal, in a year or two everyone will be talking about how bad they are!

Wait for hundreds of posts from Orange 5 owners talking about cracking commencals.

    I have a 2007 Meta 5.5 – cracking bike.

What format are the films in? Needs to be a compatible format (mp4) to work. You can convert movie files (.avi etc) with a program called Handbrake but it takes a while to convert them.

I have Hope Hoops with flows. Very nice, pretty light and as said above tyres inflate well (evenly), sit nicely and have a good profile.

I've had a DT 5.1 rim before and it was excellent. Not tested the flow for long enough to compare.

    I'd prob go for stans.
