Nest year it will be a new bike (hopefully) and a skills course at inners.

Im 6 foot and ride a 2007 meta 5 in medium. Its great on the downs but a bit cramped on the ups. I think the new geometry is slightly different as tried a mates 2010 large and it felt very similar to my medium.

Wish they still had the Filo in Lego Blue in stock, the new colours don’t look as nice.

Is it the same blue as the pic? Pretty tempted.

I’m sold on those alpkit ones – look good for the money. Anyone got the blue colour – is it true to the pic on their website? Might get a gillet in the mean time.

Want one because they’re warm and I like the look of them.

I use a smart 1/2W rear light bought for about £8 and it easily bright enough for commuting and has lasted for 18month in all weather. Why spend so much on a rear light.

Those alpkit ones are nice – do they do a jacket version? Who stocks them?

Weekend in Bristol biking with old uni house mates. Afan on sat, local Bristol ride on sun and a few beers in-between. Pity I’ve got to dive form Leeds tonight.

Lock them to railings for a week in an inner city jungle.

Right, a friend wife was asking as she wants to buy one for a present. I thought turbo trainers were just a road bike thing.

What did you change the settings to? I think our laptops are struggling to find correct IP addresses or get through the router security.

Go for it. I was deliberating coloured bars for ages and finally took the plunge on some gold Sunline V1. I’m really glad I did although they are not quite as ‘in your face’ as the raceface ones.

Have a search on pinkbike pictures and you should be able to see some bikes with blue bars.

Bikes worth £2500 and £800, they’re insured too. Understand what people are saying about the ground anchor but im only renting so not a great option.

I don’t need a ground anchor as can lock to the structure of the building. Just wondering what I need in terms of type of chain and lock and where to buy them cheaply.

When I had the shock off the bolts were loose in the shock mounting/bush/eyelet.

    MRanger156

So will it be the bolts or the mounting kits?

    MRanger156

Yeah the bolts were loose in the mounting hardware. So what bits do I need to replace?

I thought the bushes were suppose to wear instead of the other bits.

The saint pads are pretty pricey.

I have the new saints, unbelievably powerful. Not heard a bad thing about them yet.

    1. Very easy, never had to alter mine after fitting
    2. The original pads have lasted ages so not done this yet.
    3. Absolute doddle – mineral oil is a bonus too.
    4. Not uses mine in the alps but don’t think it will be an issue.

I think it was the bone that was rough (I think). I plan on getting a second opinion if it gets worse.

I have a similar issue. My knees get very hot after lots of biking/snowboarding/running etc. On the bike after a while hill climbs hurt my knees and they feel a bit like they are grinding. Walking up stairs is also slightly painful.

I went to see a specialist and had an MRI scan for a suspected cartilage tear (my knee also clicks). Turns out the inside of my knee cap is rough instead of smooth and this causes the friction. I was told it is common in teenage girls (I’m 28 year old male)! The doc told me just to live with it and take painkillers when required.

I now take ibuprofen at the start of every ride which helps and spin lower gears on the hill.

I would suggest he goes to see a specialist or physio.

I’d probably for with the 32’s. The only time I think I would have wanted the 36’s is in the alps but for most of the uk riding I think the 32’s will be fine.

Not too sure about model but if your not too bothered about weight I’d be tempted by the vanillas.

I’ll probably go for my highroller 2.35 or 2.1″

Moonglu is a great shop. I’ve had wheels trued there and they’ve been fine.

Unless they have changed the design of the Hex I wouldn’t get one. Its a good helmet but the groove in the front makes sweat drip down your face and onto your glasses.
