Royal Mail are not doing the business for me in Leeds. In fact it looks like they’re not doing anything. Unfortunately I missed the postman this morning as I wanted to ask him what the deuce is going on.

Seems to be very varied. I’ve had things come next day and some things ordered two weeks ago still not arrive despite been dispatched by the sender very promptly.

RM is in tatters.

CRC do seem to bit a bit slower but I think Royal Mail are the main issue. Some of the stuff I’ve ordered has taken a week to arrive and currently waiting for a camera that was dispatched by amazon on the 4th Jan.

Don’t know how RM get away with having a monopoly and p-poor service.

Jamie oliver tend to be simple and pretty good.

The tour of Ben Nevis stands out but probably not for the best ride I’ve done just for the wilderness factor, ups/downs (mental and physical) and the DH track at the end.

Check all the bearing bolts, especially the main pivot ones are done up tight.

Shorts look better and are more versatile.

I washed mine in the washing machine with some down wash from nikwax then tumble dried on low – worked fine.

On uphill sections I take mine off and secure onto the loops on the straps of my backpack. I can do this whilst riding so isn’t a faff. If they are steamed up I put them on the end of my nose to get more airflow – works a treat.

I think they might be 100mm max but not 100%. I had a pair and thought they were very good.

I have cheap DHB bibtights and some of there more expensive bibshorts. The more expensive DHB stuff is excellent – really comfy and good value. The cheaper ones are still very good for the money though.

Makes driving around a lot easier though.
