Sandwich American – Baguette filled with burger and chips. Served in most French ski resorts.

We bought one when I did a ski season as was bored of eating the chalet food. Sandwich american on demand was great but the 1/2 stone I lost in the previous 3 months was swiftly put back on!

I wouldn’t buy one now as wont be able to shift the weight.

Loco – Out of interest do you know what the sag markers are meant to look like on 2012 Lyriks? I have the Solo Airs and the shop spaced them down to 160mm following advice from RS but the first 10% on the sag maker is bigger then the other markers.

    Thanks, any more?

I’m looking in reasonably good/popular areas (there are a couple in Leeds!) and I think 120k might be taking the mickey but I guess there is no harm in trying.

I’m going to look at my current favourite on Tuesday that has been on the market a while and recently reduced from £175 to £165. I was thinking a good first offer would be £135k depending on how I like it.

By choice but the alternative cost money and takes longer. Some days I like the commute, others I hate it.

My Full suss is 100% new although parts have been taken off another bike but I originally bought them new.

    Road bike is second hand.

Single-speed commuter I built is 90% second hand.

I agree the new prices are sometimes beyond believe but at times so are the used ones on forums and ebay.

Isn’t it really hard to get a tracker mortgage as a first time buyer with 10-15% deposit at the moment?

One for mtb, commute and road (just take the peak off).
    One for DH.

Mmmmm. Will give the shop a call and see what they say. Not the biggest deal as the frame is fine for a 170mm fork anyway but I think 160mm will prob be better.

Covert better looking? I think so…….

Excuse the poor quality phone pic.

I have about 4 mech hangers for 2007, 2008 and 2009 Metas if anyone wants one?

£8 posted, £5 posted for one that been fitted. Not sure if them all come with bolts.

Thanks, will try and sell the rear end and shock. Probably keep the front for the shed wall.

    Already sorted a new frame.

Don’t really want to sell it as I think its unsafe. The bearing are on their last legs but the rear is fine although its a 2007 model and I doubt there will be much interest.

Goes all the way round until the reinforcing plate on the top of the top tube.

I had a 2007 (medium) up until 4 weeks ago when it cracked. I don’t think 2007 was a bad year for them and it had done 4 years of riding including the alps twice and UK DH days. The crash also appeared after a hard fall.

They are great bikes, so much fun and an absolute bargain second hand. You do take your chances though.

Mine cracked on the toptube near headtube, mates (2007) cracked on bottom of seattube, another mates (2008) near the shock mounts.

If it was a major supermarket it will be worth while following this up. Try to get hold of the regional manager etc.

The Lyrik is only £50 cheaper. Meant to be good though, at I hope so as just bought one!

I had similar although not quite as bad. After about 3 weeks mine has almost gone and I’m guessing it was just strained muscles around my ribs.

I’ve done the easier of the two at AE and apart from the road gap which is easily miss-able is not much harder than a normal red/black trail centre trail.

Betty’s – great for old ladies.

Town in nice – quite a few nice independent shops and good pubs/cafes just off the main streets of the town centre.

If the issue is one batch of poor welding as stated by the NP person above then its not really Beta testing, just bad luck.

Agree they should recall the frames in the poor batch to avoid injury though.

I just looked at Dirt in WH Smiths and couldn’t find a review anywhere.

Annoyingly I’m right inbetween sizes for the Transition but looking at the geo a large meta AM will be perfect.

I can handle the extra bits and bobs to make the AM fit current components and will be buying new forks anyway. Can I not reuse my SLX cranks but with a different BB on the AM?

Looks like one of these to me.
