Do you know how they calculated the heat loss and what internal temperature they have assumed? Ball park figure for your house would be around 75W/m2 at a guess. It is also worth noting that the output of a lot of R32 ASHPs drop off at lower temperatures so worth checking the performance charts. You need to factor in the hot water too.

A new wave of Propane (R290) heat pumps are coming out now which will go up to higher temperatures and have slightly better performance at these higher temperatures so worth checking them out although most of the ones I have seen are lower capacity at the moment so you may need two units.

We have an oil boiler and I don’t think I’d rip out our system for an ASHP unless if completely failed, even with the grant money available. I certainly wouldn’t rip out a 2 year old boiler.

Audi A4 Allroad, 13,000 miles  – Last year £570, this year…….£930 and that was after ringing up and getting a discount. Still looking for a better deal.

Yes, I mean bolting a timber to the side of the existing joists to bring the floor level.

No insulation in the floor, just a big vented void below.

Yes, could do for some of it.

Is this the better option rather than addressing the joists?

Generally 3-10mm are approx 8m2 but in places a screed would just fall through the gaps in the floor boards.

Thank you for all the replies so far. I am on 3 months notice period which has just begun. In the past and also currently with another team member people have been allowed to continue their hybrid working pattern and have not been requested to be in the office full time. I do not need a reference as setting up my own company but equally don’t want to end 9 years with the company on a sour note.

Getting into the office adds about 2 hours to my day and also costs me £21.

Ordered an Audi A4 back in October and was told it would be 10-11 months wait so August/September delivery. It is arriving at my house on Friday so 2 months early.

Swinton Park near Masham (North Yorkshire) is very nice with some great local walks around their grounds.

We changed our 2 year old cocker spaniel’s diet to raw food about 6 months ago and I would not go back to kibble now.

He used to have Acana or Vetspec kibble which he liked (he eats anything) but he had a few minor skin issues and constantly has ear infections. I was initially against raw but did a lot of research about it and decided to give it a go. His coat and skin are now in great condition and his ear infections have reduced significantly (also helped by keeping his ear hair short on the inside and not too long on the outside). He absolutely loves his raw food and his weight and general health have definitely improved.

We use Nutriment raw food which comes in handy 500g tubs that fit in the freezer easily. We top it up/supplement it with a bit of fruit, veg, sprats, chicken feet etc. We also mix up the flavours for him.

Thank you for the comments. I have gone for the light grey leather interior after managing to find a few images and videos online. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh….in 11 months time!

There were no light interiors in my local Audi showroom unfortunately.

Another vote for The Grange, close to BPW and the local curry house is pretty good too.

Meta 5.5 VIP I think before they changed the swingarm. I had a non VIP- great bike but it did crack in the end.

Heated seats (and heated steering wheel) is a must for me now I’ve had them.

Tried this and it didn’t really make a difference.

I use THIS in large for our cocker spaniel in the back of an XC60. Normally fold it down when not in use so it just lives in the boot.

I have a Carbox Form S bootliner from roofbox.co.uk for my lease car. It fits the boot really well and comes with a bumper protector for free. Think it was about £60 and money well spent.

I’d get a crate or pop-up travel crate for the boot too for your dog.

Another few days of calling, emailing and messaging on social media and still no reply from Bike Park Wales.

After agreeing to postpone our original booking rather than a refund when everything started locking down I think this is pretty poor from the company. As they are up and running now they must have staff overseeing bookings etc.

I’m £150 out of pocket at the moment. I’tried multiple ways of contacting them to no avail.

If this is a tricky time for them surely this is the time to up their customer service game.

I’d stick to a system boiler if your hot water cylinder is ok as less to go wrong.

Turn: Washington’s Spies – Very good if you like stuff from that era.
The Test and The Edge – Ones for cricket lovers.
    Sneaky Pete
All or Nothing – I’m only on series 1 but good if you like sport documentaries.
Ray Donovan – Think you may have to pay for this now though.
Jack Ryan – Easy watching action, I liked it.

I have a V1 following that I bought second hand from a friend and I love it, quickest bike I’ve ridden for general trail riding. I don’t suffer any of the problems you encounter and am on a large (I’m 6 foot, 75kg). The guy I bought it off got the fork and shock tuned and he said that made a big difference.

I’m running 120mm Fox 34 forks and the stock rear shock. Only 5mm rise on the bars with 10mm spacer (from memory). Suspension is always in the low position. The bike instantly made me quicker and massively improved my cornering.

What did you not like about the horizon cl crashrash?

I’d rather stick to a SPD compatible pedal for ease of changing shoes/pedals for cross country rides so don’t really want to go go the mallets.

I own a Cube (Agree Race 2014) and a Canyon (Ultimate CF SLX). Both carbon but at different ends of the market. The Canyon is much stiffer, lighter and I think it is better put together than the Cube. The Canyon also handles better than the Cube but that is due to geometry so depends on what bikes you’re looking at. I’d buy both brands again and imagine they would be very similar at the same price levels. Sizing is very different between the brands, I’m 6 foot and ride a 58 Cube and a 54 Canyon. I had a bike fit before buying the Canyon which saved me from buying the wrong sized frame!

I cracked the Cube and it was replaced via the bike shop without issue or hassle.

Having recently built up a second hand Evil Following V1 frame I would highly recommend getting one. I came off a 26″ 160 travel Transition Covert and the Evil is an absolute blast to ride.

Thank you for the replies. Tempted to go with the Montain Dyno Stretch as a fair chunck cheaper than the Rab Vapour Rise.

It went through Singletrack distribution but said Go Girl on my Amex transaction but postcode matched Lake Cycles.

Got some good prices one there.

The bag would still get in the way of the light if it was mounted on the seat rail. I might have to bodge something!

I’m going to sell it next year so I think I’ll avoid any capital gains tax. I’ll have owned it for 5 years and rented it out for 1.
