I live in Fallowfield just north of the floop and there’s a lot of yoofs riding about on newish decent spec bikes (Trek, Specialized, etc) they most probably didn’t get down the LBS. Definitely makes me check twice when taking the good bike out into the car.

What’s the sizing like on the Ion jackets?

Anyone else had “We are unable to deliver to this location. Please choose a different delivery location to proceed.” when trying to order? I mean, I do live in central-ish Manchester but its not THAT bad!

I went to Arctic Monkeys at Old Trafford in June with my lad (12), we had seating but after a couple of songs he wanted to go onto the standing area. I think that was 14+ but security on the entrance to the standing bit didn’t seem to care.

The actual spacing on mine is 40mm it seems, 20mm for the eyelet bushing/tophat then 10mm metal spacer each side, so do you reckon something like the below would make it fit?

Ok thanks, I give up with all the different standards. I think the only solution is a new bike!

Yeah not a trunion top mount, just the bottom eyelet has different mountings on different listings such as this example below

@Jamze I’ve got that same 95 Cinder Cone which I’ve had since new, mainly used for commuting and gravel trails with my lad now though

Anybody know what the cable clamp is like on this one? I fitted one of the ztto ones but the clamp didn’t seem great, it slipped after a couple of rides so had to do it up far too tight for such a small bolt to keep it from slipping

fossy – Which reusable Dolce Gusto ones are you using? I’ve seen a few advertised but always been a bit dubious as the machine needs to pierce the lid for the standard pods. Is it just a case of making sure it’s lined up right each time?

Superstar non boost was the correct replacement, thanks all

Ok cheers all, I’m not sure I’m any the wiser but will order a non boost jobby and see how it looks. Why did bikes go all complicated?!

Ok cheers for the info there, similar setup to mine except I’ve got the Alu jeffsy. Superstar state the below so sounds like the opposite of what you said about 3mm being Boost?

    • Standard ring = 3mm offset
    • BOOST ring = 0mm offset

I think it’s anti-histamine that’s used to treat a few things along with travel sickness. The chemist it Aviemore recommended we try it after about 4 puke stops on a trip from Manchester, going back we had no incidents. It makes them a bit drowsy but that also helps as when they’re asleep they don’t barf!

Phenergan from the chemists. My lad was the same on any journey over about 30 mins but we tried some Phenergan and it worked a treat. Give him some before bed and then again in the morning before the journey and we’ve had a couple of years mostly puke-free

Yeah checked the policy wording and it does state that in the event of a total loss claim the policy will end with no refund – not ideal when I only took it out a month ago

Ok will double check the policy again as I’m sure I read this earlier

True, but if I’m dealing with them not my own insurance does my policy still get cancelled?

Cheers guys, found some 261mm ones that aren’t too expensive after all so will go for those!

Cheers for the advice. The ones I’ve just disassembled were alloy and showing signs of corrosion but they’ve been on there for 2 years so to be expected I guess.

I’ve also read elsewhere that if rounding up you could run out of thread before adequate tension is reached, especially on the driveside, is 1mm going to be inside this tolerance?

    mr_p

It’s not about not building it right if that’s all they do. Could go for another brand or alloy but don’t they round easier?

Just something else to consider – Pace's "customer service". Maybe do a search on here or google and see what comes up.

Do you want to elaborate on this?

A demo would be good if i could find one, they aren't the most common of brands though.

    Cheers for the info Steve.

What wheels are you running on it? Also I saw a review saying that it had a tall ride height, you don't find this an issue?
