Yes! I bought the wife a new MINI Cooper earlier this year
I hope you tell her what to wear as well…

No, she wanted one so I bought one for her 🙄

Yes! I bought the wife a new MINI Cooper earlier this year. She loves it and so do I. Seems well screwed together, performance is ok and handles really well, can really throw it around. On a negative there’s no space in the back and the boot is tiny but there’s only two of us and I have a large saloon car so troubles for us.

There are a few people who knock the car but have probably never driven one, I’ve nothing against the original one but wouldn’t like the idea of driving 200 miles in it or using it as a daily commuter.

Yes, I’m a pm on the M&E side. You have good and bad days but on the whole it’s not a bad job. You do need to be technically competent or you won’t last long.

Going to Florida for two weeks this Friday 😆

Florida is a big varied state, you don’t need to spend 14 nights just in Orlando. What about a two centre? Gulf coast with Orlando? Last time we went did 3 nights at South Beach Miami, 3 nights in Key West, 3 nights at Sarasota then 5 nights in Orlando. Been about 10 times now.

Going again this Friday (can’t wait, just wife and me no kids, we’re both 39) for two weeks, again staying in different places. This time 4 nights in Sarasota by the beach, 3 nights at the Disney Beach Club hotel and 7 nights at the Peabody on International Drive.

Just go and enjoy it, don’t think you’re going to do everything in two weeks as you won’t, save something for the next visit.

There’s a lot to be said about going to university as most people posting here are not even earning the threshold to start paying the debt back. Getting a degree certainly has not improved earning potential.

How is * that* possible – it’s less than the price of one new surely? (£14,400 against new list of £14,900)
But yes, my partner was shafted – basically they changed the deal and didn’t say – nothing in writing anywhere to prove otherwise either… (Ohh and it did have some extras so not a basic One)

Typo the price was £16k, had a couple of options on it.

The Mini one might of had a few extras but paying back over £21k 😯 my interest rate is only 3.9%

My business partner bought a Mini One – always discussed a 3 year plan and signed a 3 year plan. But they didn’t read the details and they actually signed a 4 year plan! So after 3 years of paying out £350ish a month they have just found out they ‘owe’ £9000 on it

How is that possible? I bought my wife a Mini Copper brand new from my local dealer, price £6k over 48 months @ £195 per month with final payment of £5400. Old car was the deposit at £3k.

What really is the problem with these Man v’s Food challenges? In real terms the percentages of diners that take up these challenges must be tiny. Some people enjoy it and some people really need to lighten up! 🙄

Was the initial quote between £1,000 to £1,200/m2?

If the builder has only built the structure I certainly hope it’s nowhere near £1k to £1.2k per m2.

No hidden prices or fees, they must be on commission from the dealers. The car we got was uk dealer supplied and I saved 15%. No nasty surprises.

I bought brand new C220 Sport in December 2007 so 57 plate. It’s covered 80k miles trouble free and in comfort. Never missed a beat and now returning 55mpg so decent for fuel costs. My first Mercedes and won’t be my last, thinking of an SL next.

Just come back from a week in Port de Pollenca in Mallorca. Been a few times before but a very nice family resort. Plenty of bike hire shops too 😉

I’m sure Wetherspoons sell it cheap as they buy it cheap. I’ve been told all the draught beers are very close to the sell by date when they get it so its heavily discounted.

We paid £1500 for a 4 bed detached. Removed all old wood and replaced with upvc also all new down pipes. Price included all access and vat. I thought it was a decent price.

They’re not only a fire risk, the wire used in their construction causes massive damage and injury to animals. My wife works for the NFU and farmers have a serious problem with them. A total ban is needed.

I’d buy private as when you’re in the poverty spec car you’ll wish you had all the extras. Buy a warranty yourself for piece of mind.

You’re in the wrong place to talk about fashion. Usual comments from people about clothes been way too expensive and anyone who buys them are stupid whilst owning a £4k bike and Audi A4.

I had a look around the shop in Covent Garden a few weeks ago, quite liked what I saw and didn’t think it was particularly expensive either.

Leave the UK! I was seriously suffering last week but sat on a beach in Mallorca right now and have no effects at all.

Port de Pollenca, again a good area not like South west. Good for bike hire and riding too. Going in two weeks!

I’ve flown with monarch several times with a bike. It’s always been a road bike so lighter and always below the 20kg. From memory the bike bag was always weighed in the UK but never abroad. I personally would try to stick on or under the 20kg limit as monarch are a budget airline so will sting you at every opportunity.

There is a condition it the T&C’s saying the bike bag should only contain a bike so no helmet or clothes etc. I’ve never stuck to that though and the contents have never been checked.

Got to be a Honda S2000, I bought it new and had it for 6 years and it never missed a beat. Go to http://www.s2ki.co.uk for buying advice, a very helpful site.

Someone who gets their wife to dress as a schoolboy is wrong.

Apparently they’re notorious swingers so maybe not!

I’ve got a 500gb Mac Mini directly connected to my tv via a HDMI lead. The Mac Mini is also wirelessly connected to a 2tb Apple Time Machine for backup and music / film storage. I use the wireless Apple keyboard and trackpad to control. Everything just works very well. I stream from Lovefilm and the usual iplayer etc to the tv again works and looks just like normal television. A great setup and really recommend.
