Mine did the same. I just kept pushing them back on! Didn't seem to cause a problem.

So is Lee Quarry rideable at the moment? Was planning to go on Saturday.

I got rid of my "new style" Hope along with the matching wheel QRs as they were useless.

Now I've got a Salsa which is perfect.

I mixed mine weaker than normal today to see what happened and I've got a headache again. Will do it extra strong on my next ride and see if that helps.

So maybe I'm not mixing it strong enough?!

I get the same. I always drink electrolyte stuff (SIS) though, and was actually thinking it was because of that e.g. maybe mixing it too strong?

If it helps at all, there was still about 3-4ft of snow around Macc Forest this morning. Pic taken on Charity Lane.

Mr Beanz – what size frame is that 5?

A mixture of colours is what you need. Don't forget the purple.

Here's mine. Grip brilliantly on ice. Rolling resistance and noise levels are somewhat high!

I find the rubber band slips a bit so when going over a lot of roots or small jumps/drops the light rotates on the bar. I am now using the small band with the light touching the stem and this keeps it more or less in place.

I use a bit of 'servo tape' which is the squidgy double-sided tape you use to hold the electronics in place in a radio control car. It's nice and sticky but is easily removed again. Put some on the bars then fix the light on with the band as normal. It stops it from rotating.

The headtube is much more noticeable in photos than it is in the metal. It looks better now that I've put a sticker on it (see 2nd pic).

You just want me to go outside and take a pic of it in the snow don't you?!

Trust me – 2010 will be the year for purple to come back into fashion.

The blue has gone – I got rid of the Hope seat clamp due to it being sh*te so there's a green Salsa in its place. I also got rid of the rear Hope QR (due to it being sh*te as well!).

On the other hand it seems fine

    And on the other hand

And on the other other hand

    You've got, like, 4 hands??

I've been using Slime in lightweight tubes since the beginning of this year and haven't had a puncture. It adds very little weight. Nobody else seems to use it as it never gets mentioned!

both are only 5mm different in reach and plenty of standover on both

The top tube lengths are 1/2" different – thats nearer 13mm. But it's still not a lot, and the difference in standover height is much greater.

I've got shortish legs for my height (inside leg about 31") and there is very little standover clearance on my 16". An inch if that.

Unless you've got REALLY long legs you need a 16".

I just ordered my normal size (UK 9) without trying any on first and they fitted perfectly.

I'm 5'10" and I've got a 16" MmmBop (same geometry). Fits perfectly and there's no way I could ride an 18".

    I use these

    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=6045

and have had nice warm dry hands on every ride so far. No problems with them at all but they are pretty bulky as they're not MTB-specific. Only suitable for proper cold weather though. And cheap, but appear to be out of stock at CRC at the moment.

Hope is too heavy for a helmet fitting. Sold mine and now use DX

    dx light

much better (and I use Hope 4 on the bars…)

How do you mount that torch on your helmet?

I've got a Cosmo (in plain green though – camo is more expensive). Had its first outing yesterday in a very wet and windy peak district and it kept me nice and warm and fairly dry with just a merino base layer underneath. Temperature outside was about 5C. I found it much better than a 'proper' waterproof as I didn't boil then freeze in my own condensation.

Same thing happened to one of mine and I just sent it back to Wiggle as the bladder has a lifetime warranty. They sent me a new one no problem.

Yes but now the blue has gone (except on the forks) because Hope QRs are RUBBISH!
