Maybe it’s for services to comedy – his appearance on Question Time was hilarious.

Good luck. Just bumped it up to your £500 target.

People assume that everyone who is in debt got there through overspending. I’ve seen people go into a tailspin because one organization overcharges them which puts them into an overdraft situation resulting in punitive charges from the bank. The original organization may then refund them, but the bank still want their pound of flesh and when you are on a low income which barely covers your monthly costs it can be very difficult to recover the situation.

It’s a well known psychological phenomenon known as the bystander effect.

It could have been worse, you could have been in the process of being stabbed to death.

I saw this piece of parking genius in a very busy hospital car park last year.

I no longer trust my eyes.

I have been unable to see the original picture as anything other than blue/black all day, but whilst I was looking elsewhere I came across the same question and picture, but this time it was white/gold. So I comes back here to compare the pictures and that picture is now white/gold, I go off to get a drink and it’s now blue/black again. Aaagggghhhhh.

Edit: And now it’s white/gold again. Make it stop.

I almost bought a dashcam after being nearly being smudged out by a large lorry on the M60 through 50 average cams. It seems the cams didnt apply to him- so he came up behind me- flashed his lights on full beam, then swiftly undertook and then moved hard right broadsiding me- then he repeated the same move at least three more times ahead.

So there was an empty lane to your left with a gap large enough for a lorry to pass you?

This image might help explain how it can look different to different people. All that’s changed between the two versions is the exposure (brightness).

So some people have over exposed eyes. Makes sense now.

    It’s Blue and Black/Dark Brown

RGB levels for a random point in the blue bit are 124 138 183

    Which is this:

Does anyone see this as white?

If you’re at a gig and hear a random band launch into one of these two, it’s a genuine fifty-fifty chance which way it’s going to go.

    Sometimes it goes both ways.

I got my tickets from Attraction Tickets Direct when I went last year. I did a bit of research and these worked out the cheapest for what we wanted.

it’s named after the original sponsor of the series, the New York World newspaper. Strictly it should be the “World’s series” not the “World series”.

Another common misconception. There’s no evidence that the New York World ever sponsored the series.

Well done Giants, 3 in 5 years, suck it up Yankees. I went to see the Giants a couple of times when they still played at Candlestick Park so have been following them from a distance ever since. I finally managed to get BT Sport yesterday after signing up to Infinity, not sure if this was a good thing as I ended up staying up to watch the game until 3:30.

No problem with the new features, but my iPad has crashed more since the update than it has in the last year, mainly when using chrome but also in some other apps.

Regularly voted the worst film ever made. It’s so bad it’s amazing.

Breaking up in Notts too, though only on the BBC stations. I tried Radio 4, 5live and 6music all unlistenable both at home and in the car, but Planet Rock seems to be fine.

A message came up on the TV last night telling me to retune, are they messing with the signal spectrum again?

I’m in a similar situation to the OP, work laptop not for personal use. I interpreted that as the OS and software is not for personal use and installed a second hard drive in the optical bay using an optical bay hard drive caddy and boot from that when I want to use it. The main (work) drive is encrypted so my secondary OS cannot access it, and when I’m finished I can take the bay out and put the DVD drive back.

112 cm squared is not the same as 112cm^2. It’s 12544cm^2, which makes each tile 17.5 x 17.5. So by my calculations you need 470 tiles plus an allowance for wastage which may be quite high with a diamond pattern, so 504 tiles isn’t far off.

You can get them over the counter – I got one from Asda’s in-store travel money kiosk last year. I wouldn’t recommend the Asda one though, the website to administer it was a pain the proverbial, but I would imagine others do them.

I also got one from FairFX which was much easier to load up with cash online, but I did need to apply online and get it posted to me, so probably not helpful if you are travelling soon.

It’s just poor CGI added onto a flipped version of the original video. I’m sure Jamie could have done a better job.

I’m always honest with the dealer when I go for a test drive when I’m getting a new company car, but I make it clear that they will get all the servicing work so they know there is something in it for them. I use this as a sort of dealer test, if they get arsey about it then It’s just another reason not to get the car if that’s the level of customer care I can expect.

If you plan on going up the Eiffel Tower, buy your tickets in advance from here. This will save a lot of queuing.

To add to the list, Notre Dame and the Pompidou Centre.

The Defender isn’t an official Lego model it was created by this guy.[/url] His Shelby GT500 is fantastic. It’s cost me a fortune to assemble the parts for the Land Rover so I’m desperately trying to tell myself I don’t want to build the Shelby.

I don’t need the NXT 2.0 as I’ve already got the EV3 kit which we’ve just assembled into the Mindcub3r:

My daughter helps me with the Technic stuff but is much happier playing with Lego Friends, which I just see as gateway Lego to the much harder stuff.

I think I might have a lego problem. I’ve got every set mentioned in this thread so far excepting the NXT 2.0 and the cargo plane mentioned by the OP, but I was looking at this whilst in the lego shop with my daughter today.

    I’m currently building this:

And I’ve got this waiting for when I can find somewhere to put it:
