Lazy journalism

The Exmoor Emperor, a giant red stag which is thought to have been the biggest animal in Britain, has been found shot dead in the West Country.

The creature, which weighed more than 135kg (300lb)

That’s a lightweight. They should get down to Greggs in Mansfield any lunchtime.

I was in Berlin for a couple of days last year and did a bike tour with these guys. The tour guide was really knowledgable and entertaining. Highly recommended.

you guys and your british sense of humour

Ebay might not do anything about it but it seems the law is on your side.

If you are the sort of person who keeps a dangerous animal, the chances of your offspring surviving are diminished. Whats the problem?

In both cases the children attacked were not the dog owner's children.

So if you or your child end up with your face ripped off by some out of control mutt you know where not to come for sympathy.

I bought Windows 7 from here. I bought the upgrade version but installed to a clean drive without any problems. I'm not even sure if I was asked to enter my XP details at any point.

Handbrake also comes in PC flavour.

There is a useful guide here which tells you how to rip DVDs to a Samsung Galaxy, but this will work for most other mobiles with some changes to the resolution.

Almost certainly not the best but I still like listening to Misplaced Childhood by Marillion occasionally.

Shopping is what you have to do as an alternative to having no food to eat and no clothes to wear.
It is not an activity in itself.

Just to play devil's advocate it could be argued that cycling is just a means of transport to get from A to B – not an activity in itself.

I'm no great fan of shopping myself, but each to there own.

Just concoct an imaginary fantasy about her and hold on to it for the next 10 years. The sex will be far better that way too

And you also get to keep the house. :-)

I haven't used Memory Map for a while, but I think you will need to install the MM software to be able to open the maps.

Inches are easy to estimate, just measure your old chap and divide by nine.

That means my thumb is only 1" long.

What makes you think an owner cannot back their horse to win?

If you are referring to the Findlay case, he was betting his horses would lose and the reason that is not allowed are fairly obvious.

Who's asking? Are you a loss adjuster? If so then yes I had £1500 in my wallet :-)

A rattlesnake in the desert outside Tucson. I actually went up to it to take a photo – to this day I don't know what I was thinking.

I saw a flying stag beetle once – only briefly though as it hit the visor of my motorbike helmet squarely in the middle at about 70mph. Made a hell of a mess it was only identifiable from dental records (well the bit of mandible that was left).

Does it have a french accent? And does she own a black and white cat which may have recently squeezed under a freshly painted white fence?

Take the open top bus from Penzance to St Ives via Land's End – I did this with my 8 yr old last year and she really enjoyed it,. You can stop off along the way at various places including The Minack Theatre which does free children's shows during the summer.

Feta cheese.

It has the taste and consistency of plasticine which has spent ten years at the back of a radiator.

Been wondering the exact same thing myself. Research has led me to here. More specifically this thread.

In a nutshell the answer is very little. An EHU purchased in the UK will work in France – the voltage is the same. You may need an adaptor on some older sites.

I bought a 3 socket EHU with RCD protection from Aldi a couple of weeks ago. If you have a look around on the forum mentioned above you will find plenty of recommendations.

Phantom of the Opera by Iron Maiden can only be played loud.

And this guy's version is pretty cool. Check out his other videos's and weep with jealousy if (like me) you have any illusions that you can play guitar.

Heard this one on the Danny Baker show this morning, and I have been smiling to myself all day – this probably says more about my crap sense of humour than the quality of the joke.

She's a crime fighting state employed lawyer by day but at night she's a music hall singer. Tonight on BBC1 a new series of:

Golfers elbow

I had this a few years ago. No improvement in about 5 months, so I went to the GP who referred me for Physio. This sorted it in a few weeks.

Go back to your GP and insist on a physio referral – it's unlikely to improve untreated. IME it's impossible to rest your elbow completely.

But which ones better the Democratic People's Republic of Korea or the plain old Republic of Korea.

Actually no, perhaps not a good idea.
