The thing that annoys me are endless franchises and remakes – I agree that lone ranger was shite, basically pratts of the carribean on dry land .
I hate it when you get a good film and it gets remade with a holiwood glitz and obvious ending for the thickies , ie vanilla sky .
They’re making a fRom of the man from uncle FFS .Kina get the idea that films are made by committee now with amore of an eye to budget than content.

And nobody has mentioned Calligula ,biggest stinker in film history .

I’m all for live and let live and always try to be polite to walkers/dog walkers. The only behaviour that I struggle with is when they have their dogs on extended leads with no control , do nothing until you are trying to pass the dog then decide to call it back so you have to avoid the little shitbag twice

I noticed out riding last night that there is a farm – Tippe4ts farm actually on the PBR that offers bed and brekky , might be worth googling , its actually on the descent from Cowpe Low into Waterfoot [ clockwise ], or there is peers clough farm which is also on the route

Amsterdam is ok , the sleazy bit is just around an area by the canals , its not that different from a lot of European cities, the parks are ok with jazz on a sunday afternoon. If I was in Holland with kids I’d check out effterling which is a massive theme park based on dutch folklore- magical for under tens

still riding twice a week minimum at 60 and see no reason to stop, I’ve never been quick and I’m not the best [ by a long chalk ] technically but I love to ride and will happily play out all day .

I think unless you crash big time its generally positive, I took it up aged thirty when I stopped canoeing [ that gives you the shits on a regular basis due to what goes into rivers ], I’m sixty and still out at least twice a week , I’ve only ever had bruises/scratches/loss of dignity dangly form a bush type accidents whereas playing five a side I’ve had black eyes, sore ankles and six stitches in me eyebrow.Even the numb nob syndrome is sorted with the improvements in saddle design -win win

Or the other one….that the average male thinks about sex every 7 seconds, firstly how do they know and what are you supposed to think about the rest of the time ?

as stated , you could all or part of the mary townley loop , if you go to any bike shop they’ll give you a map , the section from long causeway up to gorple stones is good fun , particularly the down hill stretch anti-clockwise.or you could drive to lee/ cragg quarries.

I work in the criminal justice system and deal with cases like this frequently. I think you have reached a crisis point which could lead to you getting help to resolve the situation.Assuming he has not previous convictions and that he pleads guilty he will most likely be dealt with by way of a referral order, which means two things, first he will be allocated to a youth offending team officer who will work with him and you to resolve the family conflicts and address his behavioural difficulties, secondly , as long as he co-operates and doesn’t reoffend the conviction will be considered spent once the order is completed.in other words his details will stay on police records but will be dormant unless he reoffends .The order can be from 3-12 months depending on the courts view of the seriousness of the offence.Hope that helps .

abuse is abuse and a misuse of power, regardless of the gender of the perpetrator, and about the taking away of power from the victim.despite the notion that teenage boys will have have enjoyed banging the teacher . I have worked with male victims and it messes them up badly despite stereotypes to the contrary

My father told me, lyin’ on his bed of death
“Boy,” he says, “Woman, she’s gonna make it, don’t fool yourself
‘Cause she’s got somethin’ to make a man
Lay that money, uh, right in her hand
And the very thing that makes her rich will make you poor
The very thing that makes her rich will make you poor”, that’s right

Well, I put you behind the wheel of a deuce and a quarter, yes I did
Had you livin’ like a rich man’s daughter, yes I did, I sure did
While you were livin’ high on the hog
You had me down here scuffling like a dog
Well, the very thing that made you rich made me poor
Very thing that made you rich made me poor

Don’t you never, ever make such a bad mistake
You know I’d rather climb into bed with a rattlesnake, that’s right
Then to work hard every day bringin’ that woman all my pay
The very thing that makes her rich makes me poor
    Makes me so damn poor

The thing that makes her rich makes me poor
Very thing that makes you rich makes me poor
Very thing that makes you rich makes me poor
    Makes me so damn poor

Money won’t change it, no no

a variation you can do as well [ using any of the suggestions so far ] is to layer your chilli with wraps and put sweet corn and/ or beans in between and then bake in the oven – kinda like a chilli/ lasagne type thing .dead easy but llokks impressive.its a nigella lawson recipe if yoy want more detail.

I agree, its been an icon of alternative cinema for as long as I’ve been around Manchester , somewhere to see films you don’t see elsewhere [ and you can take your coffee in with you ] ,it’s just a sadness to see the building change it’s use .

It can be very grim in the rain but rideable. The main issue tends to be the wind. It’s very exposed and a good stiff breeze can make it hazardous on some of the more open bits .

no .check out the article linked earlier by llama and it describes better than I could the processes used in processing food whereby cheaper ingredients can be substituted .sadly we live in a world where food can come from some worrying sources such as gm , flavours can be replicated chemically and all sorts of nasties sneaked in by a massive food industry which historically has misled consumers to increase profit.
