Riding along the river near Irwell Vale we came across a group of riders one of whom had had an off and was lying on the path .We ascertained that all was well and services were on their way before carrying on [ there was nothing to be done that wasn’t being sorted ].
Riding back later I met a policeman who was searching the roadside , the rider’s wife , a nurse had arrived in her car. While she was with him and the paramedics her car was broken into + needles and medicines stolen – ended up with me riding up and down the road picking stuff up and the woman panicking that she get disciplined in the work in the morning .

I do like the Antonio Sanchez album, as well as the Meridan Suite, also by him and I was surprised to find myself like the Beyoncé album .Some of the stuff coming out by Rag,n bone man , ” human ” and ” wolves ” are both pretty cool , haven’t heard of most of the rest

I really like the ideas behind it, prefer the earlier pre- Netflix ones though

I get the fact that most of the stuff on there may not be to your taste but, again like Jools there’s generally something you wouldn’t otherwise get to hear that makes it worth it .Its a great shame there are so few outlets for live music good bad or indifferent .

I have to agree with the negative comments about seven – they spend three quarters of the film trying to catch the psycho and then take him out into the desert , he cuts the outer flesh off his fingers so as not to leave prints – buy some gloves genius

gangs of new York is another one for me, went in expecting to see history based drama and all you got was Daniel day lewis doing pantomime baddy

philjunior I agree about the Morrisey lyrics, they manage to be utterly pretentious without actually meaning anything -hit me with a daffodil mummy I think I might be a bit dead

If you want a pint with them go to the Brook at Rammy most Thursdays , or they even have their own bottled beer ” build a rocket boys ” made by Robinsons

Agree about the Smiths, Morrisey’s voice is the musical equivalent of root canal surgery

You need a de-humidifier – you can get a good portable one for around £250 -cheap ones are generally not worth it.If its just the one room as you say then this is probably the best .Have a look on appliances online website.

I just hope nobody tries to go up Snowden with no change of clothing ,hydration or tools on the basis that he went up in a top and shorts ,
difficult because it’s good to get some coverage but not everybody stops to discuss rock formations en route

There was a programme on the radio a few weeks ago when the proposal was to let students take guns into school in order to reduce the risk of Columbine like shootings presumably by letting them shoot the aggressor- What could possibly go wrong ?

As above but also vary the type of terrain you ride and find stuff you enjoy.Don’t compare yourself to others -he could be over confidant due to inexperience .Most people are very confidant and come on quickly at first and often get brought up short by their first crash .
I’m slow on the ups, shite on the downs and generally have a good time ,best to improve according to your own abilities that get involved in willy waving or comparisons

I think there’s a territorial thing too, whilst my son and I just got on and made space for each other my wife [ ex] and daughter were always creating confrontations like they were vieing for alpha female , as others have said quite quite unpleasant and hard to witness – the level of nastiness out of all proportion to the cause of whatever conflict

I think it might be a matter of trying to work out exactly what is going on as I think you are beginning to do -seeing a pattern. If for instance it’s a matter of your daughter pushing boundaries and challenging her mother then you have to be solid with your partner .If your partner moves the goalposts and is inconsistent- thus making you either support her in doing something you don’t necessarily agree with then she is putting you in an impossible position .I think as parents you and your partner need to discuss basic parental values which you may have inherited without realising .Hope this helps – just don’t get in a position trying to placate both sides

playing 5 a side, went up for a header at the same time as a bloke with glasses which got embedded in my eyebrow ,causing grown men to retch at the sight of exposed bone and plenty of crimson, six stitches and an Austin Powers scar

It’s like when they impose financial penalties on prostitutes – how do you think they’re gonna raise the money to pay that …..?

ps there’s a DHSS office opposite my work with big plastic wheelie bins and they employ a man to wack them with a stick every morning so the homeless folk run off.

The one that most people do is the Brandenburg gate-touristy but very impressive, extensive park and zoos nearby
