Sorry to hi-jack the thread but just to give a safety warning.Graham and I were up in the quarry on saturday and its pretty clear that motorbikes have been going THE WRONG WAY AROUND THE BURMS, A/ its carved them up and B/ theres a huge accident potential if you go around a blind corner. we spoke to 2 other users who said they's seen 2 men on motorbikes and that they had pointed an arir rifle at them !!!!

the smaller ,more remore ones tend to be best .avoid big ones in the lakes as they get used for school field trips and the food is shite. good ones around yorkshire dales. hawes etc.theres a corker at kirkby stephen made out of an old church.osmotherly is ok .if your doing the mary townley there is accomodation at peers clough farm which is on the route.

you can grow your own sprouting veg if you buy a sprouter for about a fiver from a health store , and some seeds such as alfalfa .that way you can have fresh veg all the time dead cheap n yummy

I agree with the posts suggesting the link accross to cragg quarry , if we could end up with a decent sized loop that could potentially make the level of riding attraction that would draw people from other areas, raise the profile of the area and potentially bring money in .and it would be nice with some kind of cafe or even food wagon , which again could generate dosh

a good old trick is to spray your bars with cheap hairspray , acts as a lube putting the grips on then as an adhesive to keep em there.
