I am roughly the same size .I think it varies on the bike and particularly the length of the top tube. What I find is that because I have a long body and short legs I can feel cramped on a small bike with restricted cockpit area. I ride a 16 ” orange 5 which suits me fine but I think you have to test ride a bike and get the feel of it to really know .hope that helps , Mart

Just a word of caution, I had a pair of V12s with titanium axles .They have steel nuts and the thread wore away meaning that after being a bit wobbledy the pedal came off completely .They sent me a set of spare nuts but to be honest I was more concerned with my own nuts so I haven’t used them since .Not very impressive for £70 pedals .The cheap and cheerful replacements from superstars are still going strong

I’d be inclined to keep it to the pump track initially .there are some pretty sharp edges and opportunities to hurt himself even on the red sections .the skills area might be fun as well

I think that there is a real undercurrent of anger and bitterness that people feel safe to vent in this way.there are also dodgy jokes that people pass on online or by of mobile phones that they probably wouldn’t say out loud.I deal with kids in court and in the local newspaper blog site the comments will vary from misinformed to downright psychopathic .its a worry what is in people’s minds sometimes

for me its getting to meet good folk from other areas and either be shown rides on their doorstep or ours .you can do rides that might have taken yonks of trial and error or mapreading and enjoy social banter doing it , whats not to like .and while theres a shedload of bitching and whelping on the forum people seem to treat each other better face to face and get on well in the saddle .all good, mart
