Orange 5 s will always have mystery noises , first check your rear quick release, strange as it sounds this is usually the first culprit unless its time to change the pivot bearings

Q1 Yes, I live locaqlly and will regularly include one or both quarries as part of a route
Q2 yes better links would assist me in using quarries as part of an extended route
Q3 Yes marked route would assist me in planning days out as well as risk assessing suitability for other riders in group
Q4 Usable art sounds a hoot and it woould provide a feature to show riders frrom other areas on organised rides
Q5 as I’m local I would tend to shower at home , but would be good for riders from other areas , and its alkways nice to stop for a cuppa . If there was a shop I’m sure people would buy stuff to show they had been .

why are you lot so negative , South wales is a place of low employment particularly in the building trade. By the time fatty comes home they’ll have rebuilt the wall , just in time to pull it back down in order to shoe-horn her in .Could go on for years backwards and forwards as she is shuttled between hospital bed and her own .

Whether we like it or not we are all ambassadors for the sport and its a sad fact that people always remember the worst examples , so if i ride to work I’ll be passed by dozens of cars but will tend to whinge about the ones that cut me up etc. In the same way walkers will pass loads of mountain bikers but you bet your boots that when they’re talking afterwards they’ll remember the tool that rode badly or wrecklessly near them .

you need to run a firm pressure or risk pinch punctures , I ussually have 40 psi back and front , but I think you need bigger tyres as well . there’s lots of sharp edges to flat on

peas , beans, mushrooms , any quorn product are all good sources of protein .Quinoa is really good because its a grain and will give you sow-release energy as well as protein , kept the incas jumping about for centuries and you can use it in place of rice or pasta .

Maybe the magazines are reflecting trends in the mountain biking population and their aspirations. I think things have moved from a ” get out and ride ” mentality and young [ ish ] riders customising stuff on the [ relative ] cheap .now there seems to be more status in having a carbon fibre mega expensive bike that what you do with it . to quiote a previous article in singletrack- mountain biking has become the new golf ,largely middle aged user population with money to spend and people to impress.

when I used to canoe , there was a colony of heron who nested in tall trees by the river ribble just by a weir above preston .I would stop and watch them before shooting the weir

The most economical camper I have hired was a VW california , it has a computer operated roof space which means theres less drag when you drive.very well designed van with built in awning , aluminium door linings which convert into a picnic table and chairs .I enjoyed to pembroke coast up to the Lin peninsula , lots of coves and surf beaches, nice pubs etc [ and a tidy bike rack ]

Amy was brilliant but a loose cannon , now they can safely release stuff that she probably wouldn’t have regarded as up to her usual standard , the newly released post-humous cd being a very depressing example. There are a whole raft of artists [ jeff buckley et al ] who have released more material since they died than they did in life. On a more positve note I hear that Jimi Hendrix’s new release is a winner !!!!!!!

Depends where abouts in Manchester area you are , bicycle doctor is good in Longsight, I use Jeff Smoith cycles in Bolton as he is straight talking and reliable, will build a bike around your choice of frame and give good follow up , he also has high end road bikes like bianci .
