In my local beer starts at £2.30 odd for session beers and gets a bit dearer for stroger ones, can’t see any reason it should be more and I think any pint over 3 quid is robbery, they do serve coffee but its instant cack and tastes like its been extruded through a dead dog, hope that helps

I’ve used the Lezyne and liked it, good pressure quickly, however Ed Oxley had one on a skills course I went on and one of the riders broke it for him.

make sure you try stuff out , ask for a demo as, as others have said the fit of the bike to your bodyshape is the most crucial thing .If youre looking for competetively priced hardtails cube might be woth a look .where abouts are you ? it could be that folk could reccemend good local retailers worth talking to

a canoeist mate of mine had similar symptons when he was training for competition , doctors told him that at a certain level of fitness the bodies immune system can be compromised, you get every bug and can tend to feel crap, that or you might need to look at a diet plan to make sure you’re eating enough , maybe supplements could be useful ?

I had a 2009 5 for four years , it did most things ok and was a fun ride, always put a smile on my face on most terrain . I think the main flaw is that it is very dependant upon the performance of the rear shock how the bike performs. I also think that orange have sat on their laurels a bit and the newer models are overpriced for the spec.I test rode a blur and bought it , I was amazed how much better it climbed and how it felt better on the downhills [ partly because I never got on with the hope mono minis on the orange ] ,As someone else said the VPP is amazing and just works so well .

” This thread is the type which makes me walk away from here now and again.
There are some thoroughly unpleasant people on here and Shib is top of that list “

interesting isn’t it , people ask bike related questions and virtually apologise for doing so amnd they’re lucky to get half a dozen answers, create a faux contoroversy about what other people to choose to do with their bodies and it rumbles on for 14 pages .

I bought a frame I liked from a local bike builder [ Terry Dolan ] and had it built to my spec with tiagra groupset and flat bars.It suits me as I also don’t like drop bars.cost about £700 but could be done cheaper if you based around a winter trainer type frame .

Most of the menswear is stuffy and can’t decide whether to be smartcasual or casualsmart but the Autograph shirts are good designs and well made for the money.

shite I’d forgotten Willis was in it , must have bleached it from my mind he was so bad .

But while we’re at it Willis as th anti-hero in the virtually unfilmable novel by Kurt Vonnegut , vanity project gone badly awry

Bonfire of the vanities – based on a poor novel , the premise of which was the arrogance and awfulness of the main character- so they cast cuddly old Tom Hanks as him , making him instantly likeable and the film with nowhere to go for the next two miserable hours

I keep wondering this and every time I say its the last one I ride it for a couple of years and then decide my legs still work and the bike is knackered so why not , there is a road club in Glasgow with memebrs in their eighties .I’m only 59 so I’ll keep going till I can’t and maybe take up walking or drooling

There are some trails locally around the two quarries but they are currently shite up to buggery and some bits are not a pleasure to ride currently , the circuit Binners suggests would at least be dry, apart from the puddles at the bottom of the descents in Cragg which give a delightful ” watershoot ” effect up yer shorts legs.

+1 for ” bringing it all back home ” ,but I aslo like ” blonde on blonde ” and the basement tapes , for their sheer anarchy and sense of fun

just locally [ in the mud that Binners has decided to avoid ] up the coal road to scout moor , turned back half way due to a new series of lakes/ puddles that looked effing deep , so over Waugh’s well ,Sandy beds, Quarry man’s , round back of Marl Pits and into Crawshaw Booth , up onto the ridge and along to the back of the ski slope, down Sykesides and down road to the buffer stop .
