having a meal in a shared house yonks ago, one of the girls goes very red in the face, rushes from the table and spits the remainder of her sausage which turned out to include part of an eyelid complete with lashes – a bit chewy she later divulged

I find it better to have a big and lateish lunch [ pasta or rice based ] rather than eat in a hurry before a ride as it would sit on my gut and give me bellyache

The dales bike centre is great ,theres accomodation on site or camping in the field next to it, within half a mile to the climb up to fremington edge which gets you up to the best trails , you can either ask Stuart and he’ll hellp you with a route or do what me and my mate did and just join upo all the comedy names on the map .

I was a bit underwhelmed as well , expecting a few suggested threads to be pulled together, it does suggest a second series ,I don’t think the last episode lived up to some of the previous ones

Not me directly but my shoes so it kinda works .Out in a group of four, one of whom is my mates brother in law. I have lent him my shoes as he wants to try spds .He says the shoes fit fine but they are loose, which means that when he turns his heels to step out of them there is a delay , no biggy I suppose, apart from the fact that he has just ridden on slippery cobbles by the canal in drinkwater park, ridden of the edga and is upright on his bike, still grinning as he slow tips over whilst frantically trying to disengage cleats- did it just in time and we got him out

” Oooh I like it hot but not this hot !!” , that very british hobby of complaining about the cold and rain all winter and then as soon as theres a whiff of sunshine everybody either sits outside the pub getting pissed or starts moaning. I was out yesterday and it was pleasantly breezy on the tops and hot in the valley , I got home not caked in shite, didn’t have to hose me bike off and had sat in the beer garden talking cack , whats not to love.?

what happens near me [ Rammy ] is that you can be out on the trails most of the year, see seasoned walkers, horseriders etc and the vast majority of folk are fine and friendly, get a lick of sunshine and the trails are full of people getting argey bargey and territorial, ride about 3 miles from the town and you’ve left them behind .it always sees to be ones who are within spitting distance of the car parks and they are the bothersome ones.
