GrahamS – cheers for that, just been looking on the web etc.

Both my Tv and laptop have HDMI sockets, could I buy a cable to connect both up then ?

Have you got a laptop or is your PC near your TV?

All my gear is close together in the same room.

Surely there must be some cheaper options ?

I dont really use it all that much, but if its going to cost that much then I would prefer to spend the money on bike gear!

MS outlook is the software that sends and receives emails.

You will have email account(s) that are configured within outlook. If you are getting spam, most email accounts get it.

You can simply loose the email address and sign up for another one if you want to…or just remove the account from Outlook.

If you Sony is still working, why not re-install the OS and/or upgrade the memory, it should work reasonably ok after that.

I find with people I work with and know…..they always want a netbook, because its so small and easy to carry around…..but then sooner or later they wished they had bought a laptop….more uses and more powerful…

Unless you really have the desire to carry it around with you every where, then I would go for a laptop…IMO…

If you Sony is 5 years old, nearly all the laptops today should be much quicker….just avoid Windows Vista and Celeron processors…

Lots of laptops around 300 to 400 quid. Have a look on http://www.ebyer.com

    Both around 200 quid.

I have always believed it is far better to regret something you have done than to regret something you have not…

I now know this is very true as I did not do something last year and its a VERY BIG regret in life… :-(

I'm not really swayed either way, dont really want children, but if it happened it wouldn't be the end of the world…

I do enjoy my freedom and its the thought of giving all that up thats stops me…but the only thing I think about is that when I am older or old, I wont have any children or grand children around me…..and I think that could be a bit lonely…

I think my mild form of eczema is probably down to a combination of the extra mileage on the bike, out in the dry and cold conditions and along with the change of shower gel etc…

I have been riding for many many years and I spend a great deal of time outdoors and I have never suffered from anything like this before.

Thanks for all the info, very helpful, keep it coming. I am going to stop riding for a few days or so as I dont want the condition to get any worse.

I will do a shop in town tomorrow for some supplies of creams etc and give it a blast!

I now do have sympathy for people who do suffer from eczema…

My Dr did say to use the steriod cream very thinnly, as it can thin the skin…which is why I dont feel inclined to use it all that much :-(

I had the bottom one done 2 years ago………..no problem, not too much pain….like most things, the night before and anticipation is worse than the event…

BUT the infection that I had afterwards, caused by decaying food…..was the worse pain I have ever had with teeth! :-(
